Pregnancy Coalition Seeks Board Members, Officers

The Greater Prince William Adolescent Pregnancy Prevention Coalition is looking for volunteers to serve as board members and officers for 1990-91, including the positions of chairman, vice chairman, secretary and treasurer.

The board meets every two months; the coalition meets monthly. The chairman conducts meetings and serves as a liaison and advocate of teen pregnancy prevention. The coalition's goal is to provide resource materials to parents, youths, and professionals who work with youths. Call 335-7730 or 791-7257.

Breastfeeding Class at Hospital

Prince William Hospital will offer a class on "The Art of Breastfeeding" at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the hospital. The fee is $15 and registration is required. For more information, call 369-8405.

Bloodmobile Plans Two Stops

The American Red Cross will have a bloodmobile stationed at Virginia Power on Reddy Road in Woodbridge from 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. tomorrow and at Bethel Lutheran Church in Manassas from 2:30 to 7:30 p.m. July 30. Call 368-4511.

Center Offers Art Opportunities

The Center for the Arts will sponsor a new session of art opportunities beginning next week. "Exploring," a variety of creative activities, is geared for 2- through 4-year-olds; "Discovery," the introduction of arts, music and drama, is for 3- through 9-year-olds; conversational French is for 4- through 8-year-olds; and creative movement for 3- through 5-year-olds. These classes are offered at the Tacketts Mill center and the Center in Old Town Manassas. Printed brochures and registration forms are available at area libraries. Manassas Battlefield Hike

The Northern Virginia Hiking Club will offer a nine-mile hike tracing the Second Battle of Manassas at the Manassas National Battlefield Park on July 29. Most of the important sites will be visited, including the Deep Cut and Groveton cemetery. Hikers will meet at the K mart in Manassas at 9 a.m. There is a 75-cent fee for nonmembers and a $1-a-person park entrance fee for all. Hikers under age 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
