Environmentalist Featured At Reading Program Finale

The Prince William Public Library will celebrate the end of the Summer Quest reading program for children at 2 p.m. Saturday at Potomac Library. Billy B. Brennan, an environmentalist who uses humor and song, will be the featured guest. Community Choir Seeks Children

The Woodbridge Community Choir invites children in third, fourth and fifth grades to join the choir for its December performance of "The Christmas Treasure." Children interested in joining must be recommended by their school music teacher or church choir director or audition with choir director Janet Grundeman. The deadline for joining the choir is Aug. 27 when rehearsals begin. The musical will be performed Dec. 8 at Christ Chapel. Big Wheel Rodeo Spins on Sunday

The Dale City Recreation Center will hold a Big Wheel Rodeo in its gymnasium at 2 p.m. Sunday for 3- to 5-year-old racers. The races will be scheduled by age group with the 3-year-olds racing at 2 p.m., 4-year-olds at 3 p.m. and 5-year-olds at 4 p.m. There is an entry fee of 75 cents for each Dale City child and $1.75 for each nonresident child. The Prince William County police will discuss bike safety. Call 670-7113 to register to race before Sunday.

Fashion Show

Ben Lomond Community Center will be the site of a fashion show and talent contest at 7:30 p.m. Aug. 25 to benefit Action in the Community Through Service. The Fashion Galleria of Manassas will host the event with general admission being a donation of nonperishable items. Erickson and Cappa Chell modeling agency will be on hand to talk to those interested in a modeling career. Call 369-6908. Girls' Field Hockey Tryouts

Woodbridge Senior High School is starting the first girls' field hockey team in Prince William County. Woodbridge students interested in playing should call Ann Marie Boyd at 494-5295 or show up at tryouts from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. weekdays through Aug. 24. Upcoming freshmen are encouraged to try out.
