Vienna Gets Set For Hard Rock

Vienna area teenagers are invited to a free outdoor band festival from 3 to 6 p.m. Saturday on the grounds of the Vienna Community Center, 120 Cherry St. SE. The festival will feature the heavy metal band Springheel Jack and the alternative rock group Repercussion. Litter-Fighting Walk

Learn more about Falls Church's fascinating past on a one-hour litter pickup and historic walk. This month's City Walk, scheduled for Saturday, will feature the city's downtown area. Paul Barkley, a Falls Church resident and local architect, will provide a historical perspective of the area. The walk will begin at 9:30 a.m. in front of the Perpetual Savings Bank, 100 N. Disaster Volunteers

Volunteers in Technical Assistance, a nonprofit international development firm based in Rossyln, is seeking dedicated volunteers to handle calls to its Disaster Information Center Hot Line. Immediately after a disaster, the center receives hundreds of calls from individuals and companies offering material gifts and technical expertise to aid in disaster relief. Aerobics for a Cause

Residents throughout Alexandria will participate in a "Workout America" Aerobic Extravaganza from 6 to 8 tonight. The event is sponsored by the Hamlet Community Club to benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Participants will work out for two hours to raise money for Jerry's Kids.
