Free Rabies Clinics
Gaithersburg pet owners can have their dogs and cats vaccinated against rabies at free clinics sponsored by the city. The clinics will be from 1 to 1:30 p.m. Sunday for cats and Sept. 30 for dogs at the County Office Building parking garage in Rockville. Volunteers are needed for the Tutor Connection, which will conduct tutoring sessions for schoolchildren for one hour each Saturday, from October through May, at United Methodist Church of the Redeemer in Hillcrest Heights. Rainbows for all God's Children Inc. offers peer support groups for children and teenagers experiencing the stress of parental separation, divorce or death. Support groups will meet from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Mondays beginning next week at St. John's Catholic Church, 8909 Old Branch Ave. in Clinton.
