Historic Crafts Fair Filled With Events
Virginia's oldest (and Loudoun's largest) crafts fair takes place this weekend as Waterford presents its annual Homes Tour and Crafts Fair from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. tomorrow through Sunday. There will be demonstrations by more than 100 artisans, music, dancers, marionettes, story-tellers, art sales, Civil War reenactments, food, and much more. Sterling Park's annual Columbus Day Parade/Sterlingfest takes place at 10 a.m. Saturday. The event begins with a parade from Park View High School to Sterling Plaza. The parade is sponsored by the Good Samaritan Council of the Knights of Columbus. Sterlingfest activities will take place on Commerce Street and will include entertainment, a trade exposition and an arts and crafts fair. Call 430-2309. Steeplechase Scheduled
Loudoun's race season continues Saturday with the Middleburg Fall Steeplechase at Glenwood Park. Gates open at 11 a.m. and the first race starts at 1:30 p.m. General admission is $10 a car. Your House Inc., a interdenominational Christian youth organization based in Leesburg, will sponsor its annual yard sale tomorrow and Saturday at the Antique Center on Route 7 in east Leesburg. Sale items include antiques, bicycles, office equipment, stereos, clothing, stoves, washers and dryers. The sale will be from 4:30 to 9 p.m. Saturday and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. Call 777-4074.
