Hospital Auxiliary Plans Orientation

'Steel Magnolias' Tryouts
The Prince William Little Theatre will hold auditions for "Steel Magnolias" from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the Old Courthouse Art Center in Manassas.

The Osbourn Park High School Madrigal and Cantus Singers will present their annual "Madrigal Feaste" at 7 p.m. Dec. 7 and 8 at Bethel Lutheran Church in Manassas. The event is a six-course Renaissance banquet featuring entertainment by the Madrigal and Cantus Singers.

'Frog Prince' at Dale City
The Dale City Recreation Center will hold a live performance of "The Frog Prince" at 10 a.m. Saturday. Theater IV of Richmond, a touring troupe, will present the tale, which was written by the Brothers Grimm. Tickets are $2.50 for residents and $3 for nonresidents. Call 670-7113.
Civil War Hike
The Northern Virginia Hiking Club will sponsor a five-mile circuit hike to Union Mill Park on Saturday. This is a joint hike with Historic Prince William and will include sites of a Civil War field hospital, Confederate encampments, trench lines and ruins of the O&A railroad bridge destroyed during the war. The meeting places are the McCoart Building at 9 a.m. or Osbourn Park High School at 9:30 a.m. The car pool fee is 50 cents. Call hike leader Bob Delmore for details at 491-4632.
The Center for the Arts will display a collection of floral watercolors by Evelyn Wylie Crum at the Center in Manassas from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday through Friday. Crum is a Prince William County resident and elementary school teacher. The paintings will be on display through Dec. 15. Call the center for details at 368-3463.
Teenagers and Stress
The Friends Are Needed group will meet from 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the McCoart Building. The discussion topic will be "Stress Management for Teens," presented by Anthony Di Francesco, a local clinical psychologist. Friends Are Needed is a group of teenagers dedicated to suicide prevention. Call 335-7730 for information.
Northern Virginia Community College begins registration for the spring semester Monday. Classes begin Jan. 16. Mail-in and drop-off registration will continue through Dec. 14. A 1990-91 course catalogue may be obtained from the admissions and records offices at the campuses during regular working hours. Walk-in registration will take place after the New Year's holiday.
