Mothers, Sons And Valentines

Mothers and their sons can celebrate Valentine's Day together at a party for them from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at Dale City Recreation Center. Mothers or grandmothers and boys ages 3 to 10 can enjoy an evening of dancing, cookies and punch, ice cream sundaes and magical entertainment. Pregnancy Prevention Group The Greater Prince William Adolescent Pregnancy Prevention Coalition will meet at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Department of Social Services office at Sudley North Business Center in Manassas. Elizabeth Lopez, from the Trauma and Recovery Counseling Center in Alexandria, will be guest speaker. Lopez will talk about cultural issues relating to Hispanic families and youth. The coalition, in cooperation with the Prince William County Community Services Board, offers programs and other resources on such topics as parent/youth communication, peer pressure and adolescent sexuality development. AIDS Instructor Class The Prince William Chapter of the American Red Cross will offer an HIV/AIDS instructor class from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday and Feb. 15 at Antioch Church. The class is free and requires instructor candidate training. For those without that training, there is a class from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Feb. 16 at Botts Fire Department. Curriculum Overview The guidance department at Potomac Senior High School will hold a curriculum overview for the 1991-92 school year from 7 to 9 tonight in the school auditorium. Information on advanced placement class offerings will be available. Any student planning to enroll in an advanced placement class for the first time must bring a parent or guardian. Call 221-1134.

Park Authority Job Fair The Prince William County Park Authority has scheduled a job fair/ open house from 3 to 8 p.m. today at Hellwig Memorial Park. Staff members will answer questions and accept applications for new summer and part-time employment. Call 335-7060.

Arboretum Docents Applications are being accepted for registration in the docent training program at the Orland E. White Arboretum in Clarke County, Va. Docents are volunteers who conduct educational tours for visitors to the state facility, work at the information counter or gift shop, or assist in maintaining the arboretum's collection of trees, shrubs and plants. Training topics include basic plant biology and ecology, the history and landscape of the gardens and how to conduct tours. Classes will meet from 1 to 3 p.m. Mondays, from Feb. 25 through March 18.
