Students from Calvert High School rehearse Friday for their performance at the National Invitational Theatre Festival, which begins Thursday in Williamsburg, Va. The students will present "Give My Regards to Broadway," a backstage musical, at the festival, at the College of William and Mary. Drama students from Calvert County's other two public high schools, Northern and Patuxent, also will perform at the festival. Northern students will present a 30-minute version of Shakespeare's "As You Like It," and Patuxent students will stage a one-act comedy, "The Original Last Wish Baby." Schools perform at the festival, which runs through July 1, by invitation only. Local theatergoers can see the productions Tuesday at the Patuxent High School auditorium. The performances will begin at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $3 for students and $5 for adults.
