Louise Wagner Reeves
Louise Wagner Reeves, 83, a member of Dulin United Methodist Church in Arlington and its Susanna Wesley Fellowship women's group, died Aug. 3 at Northern Virginia Community Hospital after a stroke.
Mrs. Reeves, a native of Port Republic, Va., had been an Arlington resident since 1942. She was a member of the Virginia Extension Homemakers Club and a leader of the Arlington 4-H Club.
Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Nelson Reeves of Arlington; three children, Marcia Rodgers of Stafford, Ron Reeves of Virginia Beach and Cheryl Scannell of Arlington; a brother, Gene Wagner of Mount Crawford, Va.; 11 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Patricia Warren, 79, who was a kindergarten teacher at Mount Vernon Elementary School in Alexandria for 25 years until retiring in 1989, died of cardiac arrest Aug. 3 at her summer home in Lovell, Maine.
Ms. Warren, a former Alexandria resident, lived in Concord, Mass., since her retirement.
She was born in New Canaan, Conn., and was a graduate of Simmons College in Boston.
After settling in the Washington area in the late 1940s, Ms. Warren received a master's degree in special education from American University and began working with children with mental disabilities.
Survivors include two brothers.
