Pacel Has Online Offshoot

Pacel Corp. of Manassas went online last week with its new offshoot, E-Business Store.com, which provides a number of Internet services, including Web page, e-commerce and database design, maintenance and hosting.

The company doubled its personnel from 15 to 30 and expanded into an additional 4,100 square feet of office space to accommodate the business expected to be generated by the Web site, EBStor.com.

Launched as an offshoot of Pacel, the company will concentrate its efforts on the Internet commerce and services arena. F. Kay Calkins, a director and secretary-treasurer of Pacel, is president of the online venture.

Bank Names VP

Robert J. Maiorana was appointed vice president of Cardinal Bank-Manassas/Prince William, located on Center Street in Manassas.

Maiorana most recently served as vice president/commercial loans at F&M Bank Northern Virginia.

Annaburg Manor Honored

Annaburg Manor, part of Prince William Health System, placed first in the category of National Nursing Home Week Programs in the 1999 D.A. "Woody" Brown Community Involvement Awards.

Annaburg Manor was presented the award by the Virginia Health Care Association, a statewide group that represents 90 percent of the nursing facilities in Virginia.
