Fire Department Open House
The Arlington County Fire Department and the Arlington Volunteer Firemen's Association will hold their annual open house Saturday. The event is in conjunction with National Fire Prevention Week next week. This year's theme is "Fire Drills, The Great Escape!"
During the open house, residents can meet with firefighters, view equipment and learn about safety. The department recommends that families create a home escape plan that includes two ways out of every room in the home as well as a meeting place outside. Department personnel can help develop a plan at the open house.
The event is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Fire Station No. 1, 500 S. Glebe Rd. For information, call 703-228-4659.
