Fernando Delgado scored five goals and Mark Jaskolski had three goals and two assists as the 11-and-under Olney Pumas went 2-0 at the Greater Harford Columbus Day Invitational Saturday at the Forest Hill Recreation Center in Harford County.

The tournament was supposed to last two days, but inclement weather forced officials to cancel Sunday's games.

The Pumas began the tournament with a 13-0 win over the Abingdon Thunder. Jaskolski had three goals and two assists and Matt McElroy and Guillermo Gomez made seven saves in goal.

Delgado scored three goals, Teby had two and Jonathan Biava, Marc Goldstein, Jake Schoengold, Pavel Sukhobok and Patrick Young each added one.

Olney improved to 2-0 with a 4-0 win over the Jarrettsville Flames. Delgado scored two goals and Steven Kiley, Brandon Keese and Erick DeSa played good defense. Sukhobok and Frank Pantano each scored one goal and McElroy played well in goal.

Several other teams from the Olney Soccer Club fared well at the tournament. The Olney Onyx went 1-0-1 in the U-12 girls division and the Olney Panthers went 1-1 in the U-14 boys division.

The Onyx opened the tournament by tying the AFC Shooters, 1-1. Lauren Estrain scored one goal and Lindsay Lethbridge and Ria Halkiotis each had one assist. Lauren Goldberg played good defense and Christine Fitzgerald and Jackie Gamble were solid in goal. Erin Rudy and Kimberly Baum also played well.

The Onyx rebounded with a 2-1 win over the Pasadena Stars. Estrain scored two goals and Lethbridge and Katie Richter each had one assist. Katie Davis made several nice saves in goal. Jill Brady, Allison Lapp, Danielle Gottlieb, Rachel Packer, Julia McCarty and Paige Dearing also played well.

The Panthers began the tournament with a 1-0 loss to Churchville United, one of the best teams in the Baltimore Premier Soccer League. Sean Donohoe, Ryan Kaufman, Alex Alban, Boone Prentice and Matt O'Connell played well for the Panthers. Jordan Grossman had several saves in goal.

The Panthers then defeated the La Plata Blackhawks, 4-2. Mark Camardese, Andrew Harsanyi, Szolt Harsanyi and Aaron Pederson each scored one goal and David Grundy had one assist. David Poloway and Colin Brand played good defense.
