Why should the voters elect you?

"Stronger, safer schools are important to everyone in our community. In addition to educating our children, quality schools are critical to protecting property values and to attracting good businesses with good jobs. I have a strong commitment to public education and I understand the concerns of our community's families. I will work for funding to renovate our older schools and reduce class sizes, more public-private partnerships and more technology in our schools and training for our teachers on how best to use it. My goal is to ensure that all students have the opportunity to achieve their highest potential."

What would you like voters to know about you?

"I've been endorsed by Sheriff Lee Stoffregen, the current School Board member Linda Lutes, the Prince William Education Association and the Prince William Federation of Teachers."

Why should the voters elect you?

"Quality education, safe and secure schools and maintenance of existing facilities along with new construction are the most critical issues. I am committed to ensuring that the Prince William County schools are accountable to taxpayers on these issues. Citizens have told me as I have knocked on over 3,500 doors that we need more stringent discipline, relief from overcrowding and a greater emphasis on teaching the basics to adequately prepare the students for the workplace. My background in finance and budgeting and my experience as a substitute teacher, a retired naval officer and seven years on the park board have prepared me for this challenge."

What would you like voters to know about you?

"I have a vested interest in Prince William County schools. My two sons attended them. The first of seven grandchildren will enter the system this fall."
