Why should the voters elect you?

"For the past eight years, I have had the pleasure of representing the Rock Hill District on Stafford County's Board of Supervisors. My regular contact with residents and businesses operating in Rock Hill keeps me apprised of issues important to Stafford citizens. I work hard to maintain communication with my constituents and to quickly resolve issues affecting them. I have a strong background in budget, computers and transportation, which allows me to contribute to the many committees on which I serve. Occupation: Counsel, legal division, Federal Deposit Insurance Corp.

Elected offices/civic activities: Chairman, Stafford County Fire and Emergency Services Commission; board member of local homeowners association; member, Travelers Protective Association.

Why should the voters elect you?

"I have the dedication and experience to lead the county in this period of growth and change. I am trained in communication, negotiation and persuasion. These qualities are essential to handle the complex budget and growth issues that come before the board. I believe that I can better represent the county before developers or members of the General Assembly and be more effective in managing growth. Also, I can handle complex banking litigation, which prepares me to return the county to sound financial management. In the eight years my opponent has been on the board, the county's finances have deteriorated."

What would you like voters to know about you?

"I have led the effort to save the county thousands of dollars by changing the way the county purchases ambulances and fire apparatus."
