Why should the voters elect you?

"The School Board is a critical element of Stafford County government, with responsibility for establishing the policies and budget for our schools. My management background with the U.S. Department of Education, my legal experience and my established working relationships with Stafford County elected officials make me uniquely qualified to participate on the School Board. As a mother of a student in a Stafford County elementary school, I have a personal interest in maintaining the quality of education and established standards for our schools. I am able to communicate effectively orally and in writing and advocate my position on issues."

Why should the voters elect you?

"I'm hands on, proactive and in the trenches. I have witnessed firsthand the attributes and problems of the Stafford County school system as my three children have made their way through the elementary, middle and high schools. Every PTA function, sports event and School Board meeting, as well as my work on School Board committees, gives me invaluable insight into the strengths and weaknesses of our schools. I have already rolled up my sleeves and pitched in. This, in addition to my professional accomplishments and expertise, makes me the choice for our children's present as well as their future."

What would you like voters to know about you?

"As a major in the Army and a registered nurse, I have been employed during my career as an administrator, educator and maternal-child health nurse."
