Why should the voters elect you?

"As a former county prosecutor, I gained experience and knowledge that I find invaluable as a member of the Courts of Justice Committee, where I have successfully patroned tougher drunk driving laws and domestic violence prevention and intervention laws. My commitment to transportation improvements and health care reform has also been demonstrated by successful bills for HMO reform and to increase childhood immunization and funding for Northern Virginian public transit improvements. Education, along with health care and transportation, should and must be the focus of the 2000 General Assembly. We must provide the infrastructure that includes a well-educated citizenry to continue the growing economy. In addition, we must provide a quality of life we can all enjoy."

What would you like voters to know about you?

"In 1995, I was elected to the General Assembly. I am very grateful and honored to serve my Alexandria constituents and appreciate the opportunity to continue my service."
