Why should the voters elect you?
"For 12 years, I have been significantly involved with education; transportation; the environment and revitalization issues resulting in closure of the I-95 landfill; regulations implementing the Chesapeake Bay Preservation Act and recycling; permanent funding for Gypsy moth eradication; opening of a VRE station in Lorton and passage of the Lauren Hill plan to transform the prison into predominately open space and parkland. As chairman of the Revitalization Policy Committee, a blight ordinance, tax incentives and changed development rules for areas such as Richmond Highway were adopted, accelerating blight removal and redevelopment of older areas of the county."
What would you like voters to know about you?
"Citizen involvement in setting priorities, identifying issues and finding solutions in a collaborative process will continue to be the way of governing Mount Vernon."
