Why should the voters elect you?

"The Lee District is an area of older communities into the middle of which Kingstowne was built. I have worked these last four years to renovate and expand our older and overcrowded buildings, develop a curriculum that will respond to the individual needs of our diverse student population, meet school discipline requirements so all students may learn in safety and reform our budget to assure taxpayers their dollars are well-spent. I've been willing to work behind the scenes or be vocal and public--whatever it takes to get the job done."

What would you like voters to know about you?

"I've always liked Ronald Reagan's philosophy: 'There's no end to what you can accomplish if you don't mind who gets the credit.' "

Why should the voters elect you?

"Making our schools the best in the nation must be our overall goal. As a parent and community leader, I have worked towards that goal and will continue to do so as your school board representative. I will immediately begin to work on the problems that impact our schools: overcrowding; closing the achievement gap for minority and disadvantaged students; improving school safety; supporting our teachers; and removing partisan politics from school issues. For too long, we have gone without the strong and effective leadership needed to solve these problems. Let's not wait any longer."

What would you like voters to know about you?

"My father, who was a teacher, instilled in me a commitment to public education. I plan to put that commitment to work for your children."
