Why should the voters elect you?

"Our children's education is my only agenda. New schools and renovations in older buildings must replace trailers, and all schools must have upgraded technology for the 21st century. I support reducing class size and raising academic achievement. I believe that all children can learn and that the Standards of Learning tests must not be the only indicator of a student's ability. I support school safety initiatives; phonics; educational programs to raise the academic level of special-needs students; and the need for ongoing evaluation of all programs. I will work to increase parent and community involvement in our schools."

What would you like voters to know about you?

"I understand the educational issues confronting the school board, and I will work cooperatively with all board members to achieve consensus resolution of these issues."
