"As a 14-year resident of Loudoun County, I will work to provide a quality school system with an environment that encourages learning through creativity, innovation and support for students and educators alike. By building schools that work, maintaining class size and improving curriculum and training for our teachers, we will be able to achieve results that we can be proud of. While in office, I will work with the community to provide and maintain open communication between School Board members and other local officials as well as to encourage parent and citizen involvement."

"As a School Board member, I will focus on the task of improving the quality of our public schools while meeting the demand placed upon us by our rapid growth. My top priority is to focus more attention on curriculum issues to ensure that we have the most effective instructional programs in place in order to raise the achievement levels of all of our students. Ensuring that our schools are adequately funded and that the new schools we need are built on time in a cost-effective manner is my next priority. Additionally, I will work to fix our teacher salary scale, lower class sizes and introduce magnet school programs."
