Why should the voters elect you?

"The last three and one-half years have been very demanding as well as rewarding. The next four years will be just as challenging as we cross new thresholds within the criminal justice system in this growing county. My promise four years ago was to give all of myself and to use every tool available to establish a successful record. That record now stands, but we need to prepare for the future in order to preserve and maintain such a high level of success. This county can be proud of this office and the professionals who work in it."

What would you like voters to know about you?

"I have been married 29 years and have two children. I am very proud of my family."

Jerry L. Johnson (D)

Elected offices/civic activities: Former sergeant, U.S. Army infantry; former attorney, Office of General Counsel, Central Intelligence Agency.

Family: Single.

Why should the voters elect you?

"Robert Anderson's abuse of power, misconduct, incompetence and waste of taxpayer dollars will end when I am elected. Excessive plea bargains and mistrials have put many criminals back on our streets, but I will put violent criminals away and protect the rights of crime victims. I will also modernize the Commonwealth's Attorney's Office and make the courts more accessible to Loudoun County residents. I will educate our youth about the consequences of criminal behavior to stop youth violence before it starts. With Jerry Johnson as its commonwealth's attorney, Loudoun County will have confidence in its criminal justice system once again."

What would you like voters to know about you?

"I am not a politician, but I will end the injustices that have occurred under Robert Anderson and get violent criminals off our streets."
