Occupation: Community activist; former creative services director for an advertising agency.

Elected offices/civic activities: Member, Loudoun County School Board, 1995-1999; vice president, Ashburn Village Community Association; former county board appointee, Affordable Dwelling Unit Ordinance and School Impact Fee Ordinance committees; commissioner and team manager, Reston Raiders and Ashburn PowerPlay Ice Hockey; assisting in the planning of Ashburn Park.

Family: Married; one child.

Why should the voters elect you?

"Tremendous stresses of growth, education and taxes are overwhelming our infrastructure, and 40,000 approved, unbuilt homes in the pipeline further endanger our quality of life, education system and what is unique to Loudoun. Someone with experience in and love of our county must address these issues cautiously, reasonably and responsibly. I bring a long-term, broad-based perspective from years of community activism at all levels; intimate knowledge of our schools, and their role in our tax structure and our future. I don't need time to learn our issues or our community. I am ready to get to work for Dulles District taxpayers today."

What would you like voters to know about you?

"I have worked 10 years to build our community. A demonstrated consensus builder, I have the knowledge and proven commitment to address our critical issues."
