Helped Raiders finish fourth at AA Region II tournament as team's No. 2 golfer. Capped season by winning AA state tournament after putting together solid rounds of 77 and 76 for two-day total of 9-over 153, then parring first playoff hole. During season he also won J.V. Arthur Tournament.

John Laycock

Loudoun County, first year

Returned to coach Raiders for second time in his career--first stint was 1979-80. This season, Laycock had two of top three finishers at AA state tournament in Kenny Roseberry and Billy Hurley. Successfully juggled Nos. 3-6 spots as team won regular season AA Northwestern District title.

Shot 77 at AA Northwestern District tournament. Won AA Region II individual crown; this was his third regional tournament. Placed 23rd at AA state tournament.

Bryan Meade

Park View


Named team MVP and first team all-AA Northwestern District. Had 18-hole average of 78. Tied for second at both district (with 78) and J.V. Arthur (75) tournaments.

Dudley Payne III



Won Delaney Athletic Conference championships by shooting 79. Shot 74 to finish fifth at Quantico Invitational. Placed sixth out of 120 at USGA Junior Qualifier.

Mike Swan



MVP of team. Shot 90 at AAA Commonwealth District tournament. Posted scoring averages of 37.6 for nine holes, 79.4 for 18. Low medalist at Comps Cup.
