Contract Modified

Lockheed Martin Naval Electronics and Surveillance Systems-Manassas received a contract modification to its Light Airborne Multipurpose System Trainer Upgrade program in the amount of $20.2 million to upgrade two helicopter weapon system trainers.

The modification, awarded by the Naval Air Systems Command, is the third made to the contract, originally awarded in January 1998.

The work will be completed by November 2001.

GMU Offers Seminars

The Mason Enterprise Center of George Mason University announced its 2000 winter quarter training calendar.

More than 50 small business seminars are available to business owners, focusing on all aspects of starting and growing a business in Northern Virginia.

January classes include Marketing Your Business on the Web, presented Jan. 13; Creative Financial Strategies for Small Business, Jan. 18; and Developing a Business Plan, on Jan. 19 and March 21.

Breakfast of Chambers

The Annual Legislative Kick-off Breakfast, sponsored by the Prince William County-Greater Manassas Chamber of Commerce and the Prince William Regional Chamber of Commerce will be held next Wednesday.

The breakfast, which costs $15, is being underwritten by Dominion Semiconductor and will be held at the Old Country Buffet, 8121 Sudley Rd. in Manassas.

Registration, networking and the breakfast buffet will begin at 8 a.m., and the program will run from 8:30 to 9:30 am.
