Nominations Sought

The Prince William County-Greater Manassas Chamber of Commerce is seeking nominations for its 11th Annual Shelley Krasnow Community Service Award. Businesses and individuals are invited to nominate area nonprofits for their outstanding contributions to the community.

The award consists of $1,000 for the winning organization to use in continuing its service to the community. All nominations must be received by noon Jan. 21.

Mingle After Hours

The Prince William Regional Chamber of Commerce will hold a business-after-hours event from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Jan. 13.

The free event will be at All About Dogs, in the Tackett's Mill Shopping Center, 2237 Tackett's Mill Dr., Woodbridge. To make reservations, call the chamber at 703-590-5000.

Economic Outlook

An economic development forecast for Prince William County, Manassas, Manassas Park and Haymarket will be presented at a Prince William County-Greater Manassas Chamber of Commerce luncheon Jan. 25.

The event will be held at the Best Western Battlefield Inn, 10820 Balls Ford Rd., Manassas, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Speakers will include Martin J. Briley, executive director of the Prince William County Economic Development Department; Roger Snyder, director of community development for Manassas; David W. Reynal, Manassas Park city manager; and Haymarket Mayor John R. "Jack" Kapp.

The cost is $17 for members and $22 for non-members in advance, and $19 and $25, respectively, at the door.
