Unitarian Universalists Present Folk Program

The Unitarian Universalists of Sterling will present "Community and Diversity," a program of folk tales, personal anecdotes and songs by folk musicians Armor and Sturtevant, at the 10:30 a.m. worship service Jan. 16.

Kelly Armor studied flute and composition at Yale University before spending 2 1/2 years in Kenya and Tanzania, where she lived with native people and collected songs, folklore and instruments. David Sturtevant grew up in the Great Lakes region listening to, and singing with, his father's fiddle-playing. The duo's first release was "Spring Day"; their current one is "You Dance Like You Drive."

The Unitarian Universalists of Sterling meet at the Sterling Community Center Annex at Shaw and West Church roads, one block from Route 28. For information, call 703-406-3068 or visit the Web site at www.uusterling.org.
