New Hires at Falcon

Falcon Communications Solutions Inc., of Manassas, announced additions to its telecommunications divisions this week.

Chris Sweatt joined the Falcon staff as the Nextel product manager. Sweatt was previously a general sales manager for a telecommunications company in Northern Virginia.

John Herrity was named account manager in the interconnect telephony division. Herrity was formerly employed as an account manager at ACC Telecom in Fairfax.

"We experienced exponential growth in our telephone division during the third quarter and fourth quarter. We have one of the most highly trained and certified technical teams in the industry," said Creston M. Owen, company president and chief executive. "We have also added four new vehicles to our service fleet to ensure prompt service to our clients."

Falcon, a telecommunications company, now employs 24 people.

The Prince William Regional Chamber of Commerce will hold its first Business After Hours event of the year from 5:30 to 7 p.m. tomorrow at All About Dogs, 2237A Tackett's Mills Dr. in Lake Ridge

Nominations Wanted

The Prince William County-Greater Manassas Chamber of Commerce is looking for nominations for its 11th annual Shelley Krasnow Community Service Award. Businesses and individuals are invited to nominate area nonprofits for their outstanding contributions to the community.

The award includes $1,000 for the winner to use in continuing its service to the community. All nominations must be received by noon Jan. 21.
