Meet and Greet

The Prince William Regional Chamber of Commerce will hold its monthly Business Before Hours from 8 to 9 a.m. tomorrow at the chamber office, 4320 Ridgewood Center in Woodbridge.

Old Dominion Consultants will be the host of the program, one of four networking opportunities offered monthly by the chamber. All members and guests are welcome. Reservations are requested for the free event, at 703-590-5000.

Arts Council Seeks Nominees

The Prince William County Arts Council will hold its next meeting at 7 p.m. Feb. 2 at the Prince William County Park Authority Headquarters, 14420 Bristow Rd. in Manassas.

Nominations for five members of the board of directors, second vice chairman, treasurer, four grants panelists and three members of the nominations committee will be taken at the meeting in preparation for the annual meeting April 5.

Individuals interested in serving in any of those positions should contact Chairman Jim Fabian or Stella Olinger, the Arts Council liaison, at 703-491-2551.

Nominations will be accepted from the floor and from the nominating committee.

Sponsorship Opportunity

The Prince William Parkway/95 Partnership will publish a 2001 calendar promoting "12 reasons" businesses should locate to eastern Prince William County.

Among the featured photos will be the Potomac and Occoquan rivers and the Quantico Marine Corps Base.

The calendar will be published in September and will be distributed to potential business newcomers on a national and international scale.

The partnership is seeking sponsors to help defray some of the costs of publishing the calendar. Sponsorship is priced at $300.

Development Planned

More than 250 upscale homes will be built this year at Carterwood, near Interstate 66 and Route 15 in Prince William County.

The community near Gainesville will be developed by Waterford/Bouwfonds LLC of Reston.

The new housing development will include about 60 town houses and as many as 160 single-family houses, the company said.

Construction will start this year.
