GREENLAWN DR., 5700 block, 2 to 3 p.m. Oct. 14. Shotguns were stolen from a residence entered through an unlocked front door.

POINT SENECA PLACE AND MATENY ROAD, 1:45 p.m. Oct. 8. A male teenager who implied that he had a gun robbed a 19-year-old Germantown pedestrian of his wallet.

BRASSWHEEL RD., 14200 block, 7:30 p.m. Oct. 26 to 4:25 a.m. Oct. 27. A vehicle was stolen from a garage at a residence. Entry was gained through an open garage door.

CHALET DR., 18100 block, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 1. Video-game equipment, games and DVDs were stolen from a residence entered through a front door.

FOUND STONE RD., 12700 block, 8:10 to 9:45 p.m. Oct. 14. A residence was entered through a garage door. Nothing was reported missing.

ASSAULTS

EMORY GROVE ROAD AT WOODFIELD ROAD, 7:43 p.m. Oct. 7. A pickup driven by a female pulled up alongside a woman's vehicle. A male passenger in the truck pointed a rifle at the woman, who slammed on her brakes, pulled off the road, and called police.

ROBBERIES

SOUTH FREDERICK AVENUE AND WEST DEER PARK ROAD, 8:30 p.m., Oct. 14. A man grabbed the glasses of a 24-year-old woman at a bus stop, scratched her face, and walked away.

GOSHEN RD., 20200 block, 7:05 p.m. Oct. 4. A man robbed a bank after passing a black plastic bag to a teller, along with a note saying that he had a bomb and a gun.

LAYTONIA DR., 7800 block, 9:20 p.m. Oct. 12. A man came out from behind a hedge, grabbed cash from a 22-year-old man, pushed the victim, and then fled in a dark-colored Ford Explorer or Lincoln Navigator.

LOST KNIFE RD., 9620 block, 8:32 p.m. Oct. 9. A gunman robbed an ice cream store clerk and cash register of cash.

SNOUFFER SCHOOL ROAD AND WELBECK WAY, 9 p.m. Oct. 4. Two men in a walkway near a shopping mall robbed a 17-year-old boy of cash and his cap.

BEAVER CREEK LANE, 8800 block, 7:30 p.m. Oct. 11. A power drill was stolen from a garage at a residence.

CEDARHURST WAY, 20300 block, 10:38 a.m. Oct. 9. Clothing, jewelry, a video-game equipment and games were stolen from a residence entered by breaking a rear window.

TUCKERMAN LANE, 7900 block, 4:45 p.m. Oct. 7. A 20-year-old Potomac man was pulled from his car and robbed of cash by a gunman who fled to a green Chevy Malibu parked nearby. Two male accomplices were in the car.

GRAND CHAMPION DR., 800 block, 3 p.m. Oct. 3 to 5:44 a.m. Oct. 4. A vehicle, cash and a purse were stolen from a residence entered through an unlocked back door.

ROCKVILLE PIKE, 1050 block, 9:30 p.m. Oct. 4 to 7:20 a.m. Oct. 5. Cash was stolen from a restaurant entered by breaking a front window.

SILVER SPRING DISTRICT

ROBBERIES

COLESVILLE ROAD AND RAMSEY AVENUE, 10:37 p.m. Oct. 5. Two youths grabbed a purse from a female waiting at a bus stop, then fled on foot toward a mall.

EAST-WEST HWY., 1300 block, 2:20 p.m. Oct. 8. A woman attacked a woman in a parking lot, striking her several times and grabbing at her purse and car keys. The assailant suddenly stopped and got into a light-blue car with D.C. tags. Nothing was reported missing.

FENTON ST., 8120 block, 10:25 p.m. Oct. 8. A man who had been in and out of a convenience store several times finally pushed a clerk aside and stole cigarettes, then ran north on Fenton Street.

NEW HAMPSHIRE AVE., 11280 block, 5:50 p.m. Oct. 5. An employee stopped a man leaving a shoe store with two bags of merchandise he had not paid for. The man told the employee that he had a gun, then fled.

OLD COLUMBIA PIKE, 15440 block, 9:40 p.m. Oct. 10. A gunman robbed a beer-and-wine store of cash, then fled on foot.

11TH AVENUE NEAR CARROLL AVENUE, 6:08 p.m. Oct. 3. A 49-year-old Silver Spring man walking toward a convenience store was knocked to the ground and robbed of his wallet by two males who fled on foot on Navahoe Drive.

COLESVILLE RD., 8730 block, 5:54 p.m. Oct. 9. A front door at a business was forced. Nothing was reported missing.

GEORGIA AVE., 8120 block, 5:30 a.m. Oct. 8. An early-learning center was entered through a door. Nothing was reported missing.

GEORGIA AVE., 8720 block, 9 to 9:15 p.m. Oct. 11. Several offices in a building were entered after a door to the building was forced. Nothing was reported missing.

INDUSTRIAL PKWY., 2160 block, 4 p.m. Oct. 11 to 7:20 a.m. Oct. 12. An attempt was made to enter a restaurant by forcing a front door.

INDUSTRIAL PKWY., 2160 block, midnight to 4:15 a.m. Oct. 8. Cash was stolen from a restaurant entered by removing a front door.

LOCKWOOD DR., 11400 block, 11 p.m. Oct. 2 to 9 p.m. Oct. 3. A residence was entered through a rear sliding-glass door. Nothing was reported missing.

VANDEGRIFT AVE., 5900 block, 2:45 p.m. Oct. 8. Arrested in connection with an incident at this location, a 26-year-old Rockville man was charged with second-degree assault, child abuse and resisting arrest.

ROBBERIES

WOODLAND ROAD AND NORTH HORNER'S LANE, 5 to 5:15 p.m. Oct. 11. Two males with handguns jumped out of a dark-red Toyota Corolla and robbed a male pedestrian of property, then got back into the vehicle, driven by a female, and fled.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

CHURCH ST., unit block, 3:01 to 3:09 p.m. Oct. 6. A business was entered by prying a side door. Unsuccessful attempts were made to enter a number of offices. Nothing was reported missing.

GUDE DR. E., 1600 block, 5 p.m. Oct. 11 to 11:12 a.m. Oct. 13. Two televisions were stolen and a number of rooms ransacked at a business entered through a rear window.

HUNGERFORD DR., 500 block, 3:15 p.m. Oct. 8. A purse was stolen from a vehicle while the victim was paying for gas.

HUNGERFORD DR., 600 block, 9:30 to 9:40 p.m. Oct. 12. A handcart was stolen.

JEFFERSON PLAZA, 600 block, 11:40 a.m. Oct. 6 to 7:30 a.m. Oct. 7. A business was entered by prying an office door. Cash and keys were stolen from desks and the lobby area of the business and a number of offices were ransacked.

MANNAKEE ST., 500 block, 7 p.m. Oct. 2 to 7 p.m. Oct. 3. Jewelry was stolen from a residence.

MONROE ST., 100 block, 11:43-11:48 a.m. Oct. 8. Two laptop computers were stolen from an office that a man had been seen entering.

MONROE ST., unit block, 7:30 p.m. Oct. 9 to 9 a.m. Oct. 10. A business was entered by way of the ceiling tiles. A filing cabinet was rifled but nothing was reported missing.

ROCKVILLE PIKE, 1400 block, 4 p.m. Oct. 9 to 6:15 a.m. Oct. 10. A vehicle was put on blocks and its tires and rims were stolen.

SCOTT DR., 9200 block, 6:50 to 8:30 p.m. Oct. 9. Purses were stolen from a number of vehicles entered by smashing out driver-side windows.

STONESTREET AVE., N., 400 block, Midnight Oct. 6 to 6:15 a.m. Oct. 7. Cash was stolen from desks and a vending machine and two laptop computers were stolen from a conference room machine at a business entered by prying an interior door.

TAFT ST., 1000 block, 11 a.m. Oct. 4 to 6:30 a.m. Oct. 8. A trailer was removed from the rear of a business.

VEIRS MILL RD., 2000 block, 4:20-4:45 p.m. Oct. 9. A wallet left on a counter was stolen.

HOUSTON CT., 8200 block, Oct. 12. A man was charged with second-degree assault.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

HOLTON LANE, 1300 block, 2:07 a.m. Oct. 11. A man carrying a suspicious-looking bundle was stopped by police officers on routine patrol. The bundle was a blanket holding several pairs of shoes. After a nearby store was found to have been broken into, the man was charged with second-degree burglary, theft over $500 and destruction of property.

NEW HAMPSHIRE AVE., 7600 block, 1 p.m. Oct. 15 to 8 a.m. Oct. 16. Property was stolen from a business entered by breaking glass in a front door.

UNIVERSITY BLVD., 1300 block, 8:42 p.m. Oct. 16. Two men damaged glass in a door at a business. The door was damaged, but nothing was reported missing.

WILDWOOD DR., 2 to 7:14 a.m. Oct. 14. Tools were stolen from an unlocked 1998 Toyota Tundra. Police responding to a report about a suspicious person in the neighborhood arrested a man in possession of a saw and a nail gun. He was charged with theft over $500, and with being rogue and vagabond.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS

ASPEN AVE., 7400 block, 1 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Oct. 13. A 2002 Nissan Altima was stolen.

CIRCLE AVE., 400 block, 4:30 p.m. Oct. 11 to 9 a.m. Oct. 12. A 1995 Honda Accord was stolen.

GLENSIDE DR., 7300 block, 6 p.m. Oct. 16 to 8:10 a.m. Oct. 17. Attempts were made to steal a 1988 Toyota station wagon and a 1993 Chevrolet van, both entered through unlocked doors. The ignitions of both vehicles were damaged and property was taken from one.

KINGWOOD DR., 1100 block, 7:30 to 8:20 p.m. Oct. 12. A 1996 Honda Accord was stolen.

MAPLE AVE., 7500 block, Oct. 9. A man was arrested on a warrant charging him with auto theft, false statement to a police officer and malicious destruction of property.

SLIGO CREEK PKWY., 8000 block, noon Oct. 11 to 8:15 a.m. Oct. 12. A 2000 Toyota Corolla was stolen.

UNIVERSITY BLVD., 900 block, Oct. 9. A man was charged with theft of an auto.

WILDWOOD AVE., 7400 block, 8 p.m. Oct. 12 to 1:15 a.m. Oct. 13. A 1987 Toyota Camry was stolen.

WILDWOOD DR., 7300 block, 9:30 p.m. Oct. 16 to noon Oct. 17. An attempt was made to steal an unlocked 1996 Honda Civic. The vehicle ignition was damaged.

13TH AVE., 7200 block, 5:30 p.m. Oct. 16 to 8 a.m. Oct. 17. An attempt was made to steal a 1996 Honda Accord. The vehicle ignition was damaged.

VANDALISM

TAKOMA AVE., 7300 block, 8 to 11:30 p.m. Oct. 17. A 2000 Dodge Neon was damaged by a fire set with a flammable liquid.
