INDIAN HEAD AREA

VEHICLE THEFTS

CHINABERRY LANE, 12:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Oct. 17. A 2002 Yamaha all-terrain vehicle was stolen from a residence.

NEWBURG AREA

VEHICLE THEFTS

VALLEY LANE, 6:30 p.m. Oct. 14 to noon Oct. 20. A 2003 Yamaha four-wheeler all-terrain vehicle was stolen from a garage behind a residence.

WALDORF AREA

ASSAULTS

ST. PATRICK'S DR., 1:30 a.m. Oct. 19. A man, 41, struck a security officer after he asked the man to leave Bennigan's restaurant. The man was charged with second-degree assault.

WALDORF, 3:30 a.m. Oct. 20. A man, 21, was shot in the arm and a boy, 14, was shot in the head in the parking lot of Gallery Place Apartments. The boy was flown to Children's Hospital in Washington. He is listed in critical condition. The man was treated at Civista Medical Center and released.

HOME INVASION

EAGLE CT., 4300 block, 3:30 p.m. Aug. 12. An unknown suspect forced entry into a residence and robbed a woman, 43, and four boys, ages 12, 12, 14 and 15, at gunpoint. The suspect placed the woman and boys in a bathroom and fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of money.

ROBBERIES

GALLERY PLACE, 3000 block, 12:55 p.m. Oct. 19. A man, 21, and a woman, 19, were robbed. The robbers, who used a knife, fled on foot toward Amberleaf Place.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

LEONARDTOWN RD., 5400 block, 3 p.m. Oct. 8 to 9 a.m. Oct. 16. Damage was caused to a roof and the skylight at Longwood Garden when someone tried to gain entry through the skylight.
