I love helping my constituents and speaking out for working people, children, seniors and the disabled."

Justin D. Ross (D)

Age: 26

Residence: Greenbelt.

Education: BA, government and politics, University of Maryland.

Occupation: Commercial real estate agent, Michael Cos.

Elected offices/civic activities: Member, Democratic Central Committee; executive board, Young Democrats of America; former president, Prince George's County Young Democrats; real estate consultant, Redevelopment Authority; real estate consultant, Gateway Arts and Entertainment District.

Why should the voters elect you?

"I was born and raised in Prince George's County, and I'll fight for this community and its citizens. We have an opportunity to prove that by reinvesting in our established communities and existing infrastructure, it is possible to be both pro-environment and pro-business. Additionally, I believe we can make Prince George's County a place where belief in community is the rule, not the exception. I will fight for state funding for schools and community policing programs. Additionally, I will work with municipalities and civic associations to ensure that every Prince Georgian has the quality of life that they deserve."

What would you like the voters to know about you?

"I believe the diversity of this community is a gift from God. We must work together to engender trust and hope in this community."

Dominique J. Brown (R)

Age: 25

Residence: New Carrollton.

Education: Lincoln Technical Institute, 1996; Fort Lee Quarter Master School, 1996-97.

Occupation: Manager, Flower Corner, Landmark Mall, Alexandria.

Elected offices/civic activities: None given.

Why should the voters elect you?

"I believe that the Democratic Party has ignored the rights of the Prince George's County citizens, especially minorities, by taking away their right to vote for their own school board. The large increase in taxes burdening our people, gridlock in traffic burdening our people, the poor and unsafe schools burdening our people, the dramatic rise in crime burdening our people are the perilous presents of 36 years of Democratic control of the state of Maryland."

What would you like the voters to know about you?

"I'm a unifier. I work for grass-roots. I'm following the footsteps of Colin Powell and Michael Steele in bringing more minorities to the Republican Party."
