Why should the voters elect you?

"Voters should elect me because of my honesty, integrity and competence. Throughout my life, I have demonstrated my ability to lead. As a single parent, I put myself through college at night while working full time during the day. The first time I ran for office was 1982, countywide in Prince George's County at the age of 29. I ran again in 1986. I was a student leader and have been a community volunteer most of my life. I guarantee that I will make the voters proud."

What would you like the voters to know about you?

"As a county employee, I negotiated the acquisition of millions of dollars' worth of land at no cost to the taxpayers for transportation purposes."
