Adult Vaccinations Available Adult vaccinations are being offered every Friday at the Southeast Health Center in Laurel.
The center provides vaccinations for people 18 and older for hepatitis B, meningococcal, measles-mumps-rubella, adult tetanus (Td), varicella (chicken pox) and pneumococcal.
Charges depend on the type of vaccine; there is also an administration fee. Clients can use Medicare.

Library Closing for Veterans Day All branches of the Howard County Library will be closed Monday for Veterans Day. Regular service will resume Tuesday.
Outstanding Women Sought The Howard County Commission for Women is seeking nominations of outstanding women for induction in the Women's Hall of Fame in March, Women's History Month.
Nomination forms are available at all public library branches and at the Howard County Department of Citizen Services in the Gateway Building.
Nominations are due by Nov. 15 and should be mailed to: Commission for Women, P.O. Box 348, Simpsonville, Md. 21150-0348. As many as five women will be chosen.
Public Safety Talk The Town Center Community Association will hold a meeting on public safety at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Historic Oakland, 5430 Vantage Point Rd., Columbia.
Representatives from the Howard County police and fire and rescue departments will be available to discuss public safety issues.
Help for Homeowners in Need Howard County homeowners who are elderly, low-income or have disabilities may qualify for free home repair and maintenance projects through the Rebuilding Together With Christmas in April program. Meeting on Columbia's Governance The Columbia Council will hold a public session at 7:30 p.m. next Thursday to discuss a committee report on recommendations about how Columbia should be governed. The session will be at the Columbia Association headquarters, 10221 Wincopin Cir., Columbia.
Thanksgiving Tickets for Sale The annual Thanksgiving celebration sponsored by Howard County's Office on Aging and County Executive James N. Robey will be Nov. 21 at the Ten Oaks Ballroom in Clarksville.
The first seating will begin at 11 a.m., with a program followed by a luncheon at noon; the second seating will begin at 4:30 p.m., with a program and then dinner at 5:30 p.m.
Tickets are $6.50. Reservations can be made in person at the Florence Bain Senior Center between 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. before next Thursday or by calling 410-313-7390 during those hours.
