The Montgomery County Volunteer & Community Service Center needs volunteers for the Montgomery County Medbank Program, helping low-income patients apply for and receive prescription drugs. The center also needs volunteers to join existing groups in visiting nursing home residents and hospital patients for the Holiday Project of the National Capital Area. The American Councils for International Education seek help screening scholarship applications from students in the former Soviet Union. Scholarship recipients spend one year living with an American family while attending a U.S. high school. Training for application evaluators will be provided.
