76 TROMBONES AT CSM

The College of Southern Maryland Theatre Company brings Harold Hill to La Plata in the hit musical, "The Music Man," written by Meredith Willson. When Hill dupes a town into buying musical instruments and uniforms to form a marching band, but then insists on teaching the children with a sketchy "Think System," his credentials are questioned. Will he skip town or prove himself to the town and its beautiful spinster librarian? 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, 2 p.m. Sundays, through Nov. 24. Fine Arts Center Theatre, College of Southern Maryland, La Plata campus, 8730 Mitchell Rd. $12; students, seniors and children, $10. 301-934-7828, 301-870-3008, 301-884-8131, Ext. 7828, 301-934-7788 (TDD) or www.csmd.events/finearts/index.
