DOLLS AND TRAINS AND BEARS, OH MY!

A seven-foot dollhouse full of baby dolls and hands-on working miniature train displays are part of the St. Clement's Island -- Potomac River Museum's 17th annual Doll and Train Exhibit. Head for the Little Red Schoolhouse on the museum's grounds for your fill of trains and dolls, or stroll through the museum proper for an abundance of teddy bears. An informative exhibit about President Theodore Roosevelt celebrates the teddy bear's 100th anniversary. Children will be offered a special treat if they can correctly guess the number of bears on display. Noon-4 p.m. Wednesdays-Sundays, starting Sunday through Jan. 4. LEONARDTOWN'S WINTER WONDERLAND

Leonardtown's Christmas on the Square and Tree Lighting includes live music and entertainment, horse-drawn carriage rides, sleigh rides, hay rides, pony rides, Christmas carols and choirs, juggling, ballet performances, a bagpiper, Mrs. Claus, Santa's Parade and Santa lighting the Christmas tree. Frosty the Snowman and the Christmas Bear also will make appearances. Enjoy holiday crafts, face painting, gingerbread house contest displays, food, pictures with Santa and more. CHARLES COUNTY HOSPICE FESTIVAL OF TREES

See 100 decorated trees and buy chocolates, baked goods, gifts and greens to benefit Hospice of Charles County.
