Buchanan Building Finished
Buchanan Partners of Gaithersburg has completed its first building at Dulles Trade Center I, a one-story, 105,400-square-foot office structure on a 57-acre parcel on Route 606. More than half of the building has been leased or purchased, with occupancy scheduled for early next year.
Buchanan recently sold out a nearby project called Cascades Business Center. "Buyers at Cascades were able to take advantage of low interest rates to secure low, fixed occupancy costs," said Robert E. Buchanan, a principal with Buchanan Partners.
Buchanan plans to construct seven more buildings on the Dulles Trade Center I site, ranging from 40,000 square feet to 100,000 square feet.
In November 1999, Buchanan Partners bought three land parcels totaling more than 500 acres in partnership with Stone Hedge Investments of The Netherlands. Two of the parcels, including Dulles Trade Center, have frontage on Route 606. The third is bisected by a planned extension of Loudoun County Parkway.
