BEL ALTON AREA

VEHICLE THEFTS

BEL ALTON, 11:53 a.m. Nov. 20. A man, 26, stole a 1995 Dodge Van. He was charged with theft of a motor vehicle.

INDIAN HEAD AREA

VEHICLE THEFTS

OLD CREEK RD., 2300 block, 5 p.m. Nov. 23 to 5 p.m. Nov. 26. A 1986 14-foot Fisher boat was stolen. The trailer, a dozen decoys and a boat motor were also stolen.

LA PLATA AREA

ASSAULTS

CARMELITE DR., 5200 block, 8:23 p.m. Nov. 25. A man entered a residence to use the restroom. After exiting the restroom he struck a woman, 74, with an unknown object and fled the scene. The woman is at Washington Hospital Center and is listed in critical but stable condition.

CARJACKING

CHARLESTON CT., 200 block, 7:07 a.m. Dec. 2. A man, 25, was getting into his vehicle. A suspect approached him and demanded money, property and his vehicle. The man complied and the suspect fled the area in the vehicle. It was found a short time later on Glen Albin Road at Jazz Place, and had been involved in a single-vehicle accident.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

RIPLEY RD., 6200 block, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 26. Money was stolen from a residence.

WALDORF AREA

ASSAULTS

OVERCUP OAK CT., 1700 block, 2:30 a.m. Dec. 2. Two suspects approached a man, 44, brandished a gun and forced him into his vehicle. The suspects then forced him to drive them to different locations in Charles and Prince George's counties. They also stole money from the man before fleeing.

RENNER RD. AND ROUTE 5, 10:13 a.m. Dec. 1. A man, 31, shot a man, 26, during an argument. The victim was flown to Prince George's Hospital Center with injuries that were not life-threatening. The suspect was charged with attempted first-degree murder and first-degree assault.

SEXUAL OFFENSE

WALDORF, 12:37 p.m. Nov. 30. A man, 39, sexually abused a female youth, 11. He was charged with two counts of child abuse.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

BERRY RD., 9400 block, 9:45 a.m. Dec. 2. A man, 42, was stopped for speeding and it was discovered that his vehicle's license plates were stolen. He was charged with theft less than $500.

VANDALISM

ACTON LANE, 12200 block, 8:30 p.m. Nov. 26 to 5:04 a.m. Nov. 27. Racial remarks and other graffiti were spray-painted on heavy equipment at Waldorf Asphalt. Tires were also slashed on several work trucks and material in a trash bin was set on fire.
