CALIFORNIA AREA

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

ROUTE 4, 4 p.m. Nov. 26. A man, 37, was driving a vehicle with stolen tags. He was charged with theft less than $500 and numerous traffic violations.

CALLAWAY, Nov. 29. A man, 40, was stopped for a seat belt violation. It was discovered the license plates on the vehicle were stolen. He was charged with theft less than $500.

GREAT MILLS AREA

ASSAULTS

GREAT MILLS, 9:30 p.m. Dec. 1. A man, 35, assaulted a female youth, 16, at a residence. He is charged with second-degree assault and child abuse.

HOLLYWOOD AREA

ASSAULTS

HOLLYWOOD, 6:45 a.m. Nov. 30. A man, 42, assaulted a woman at a residence and destroyed a phone. He was charged with second-degree assault and malicious destruction.

HOLLYWOOD, 8:02 p.m. Dec. 1. A male youth, 15, assaulted a female victim at a residence. He was charged with second-degree assault.

LEONARDTOWN AREA

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

LEONARDTOWN, 11:14 a.m. Nov. 26. A jacket and a set of keys were stolen from a bench near the courtroom in the District Court Building.

DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY

POTOMAC VIEW DR., 7:30 to 11 p.m. Nov. 30. Pumpkins were thrown at two mailboxes, damaging them.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

PEGG RD., 4 p.m. Nov. 24 to 2 p.m. Nov. 25. A license plate was stolen from a vehicle parked at a residence.

MECHANICSVILLE AREA

ASSAULTS

DUDLEY RD., 1:10 a.m. Dec. 1. A man, 18, refused to stop when asked to do so by a trooper. After a brief struggle he was arrested. He was charged with second-degree assault, resisting arrest, hindering and giving a false name.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

CAT CREEK RD., 5:30 a.m. to 5:45 p.m. Nov. 26. A curio cabinet was stolen from a residence.

OAK CT., 8:20 p.m. Nov. 30 to 7:30 a.m. Dec. 2. A car stereo was stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

ST. MARY'S CITY AREA

ASSAULTS

ST. MARY'S CITY, 7:30 p.m. Nov. 27. A man, 20, assaulted a woman after they became involved in a verbal altercation on the side of the road. He was charged with second-degree assault.
