Community Holiday Coalition
The "Neighbors Helping Neighbors" program needs volunteers and donations for its Christmas store, particularly clothing for children of all ages, especially 5-12 and teens; and clothing for seniors -- flannel shirts, nightgowns, sweat shirts, sweaters in larger sizes including 1, 2 and 3X.
Also, $5 and $10 food gift certificates; personal/household laundry baskets filled with shampoo, deodorant, laundry soap, toothpaste, paper towels, toilet paper, tissues, hand soap, dish soap and general cleaner; gifts for preteens and teens; and cash donations.
Items are accepted at various sites countywide or at Dulles 28 Centre (Waxpool Road and Route 28) through Tuesday. For times, call 703-771-5718.

Its 15 churches feed more than 3,000 at Christmas in Loudoun and Fairfax counties. Volunteers, nonperishable food and $10-$25 grocery gift certificates are requested. 703-437-1776.
The Salvation Army
The Loudoun office requests donations and grocery vouchers for meals for the needy and needs volunteers to ring bells during its annual Kettle Drive. Volunteers are needed to sort Angel Tree gifts at the Purcellville storage location, 1-5 p.m. daily through Tuesday. 703-771-3371.
Clock Tower Thrift Shops
Donations of new or like-new toys, household items, books, cosmetics and sporting goods are needed as well as winter clothing. Volunteers are needed to tag items. The Loudoun shop is at 46950 Community Plaza on Route 7 in Sterling. 703-845-8023.
Loudoun County Animal Shelter

Toys for Tots
New and used toys, books and gifts for babies to teens are needed. Donations are accepted at Purcellville Marketplace and Natural Mercantile Store in Hamilton. The deadline is 5 p.m. Saturday. 540-338-5534.
Warrenton-Fauquier Jaycees and other groups are providing food and toys for needy families. You can send cash donations, drop new toys in Toys for Tots boxes or participate in the Angel Tree program. 540-347-6550.
The Salvation Army
The county office needs thrift-store volunteers, bell ringers for the Kettle Drive through Dec. 24, non-perishable food items and help with the turkey drive. 540-341-8385.
Donations requested for kitty litter (plain, not scoopable), a digital camera, dog and cat treats and toys, canned dog and cat food, dry kitten chow, laundry detergent and dishwashing liquid, trash bags and bleach. Accepted at Fauquier SPCA, Rogues Road, Casanova. 540-788-4793.
