TONE DR., 6300 block, 11:30 p.m. Nov. 29 to 12:34 p.m. Nov. 30. Property was stolen from a residence entered by forcing a rear door.

ROBBERIES

WISTERIA AND SKY BLUE DRIVES, 1:15 a.m. Dec. 6. A youth with a gun on a sidewalk tried to take cash from a 46-year-old man who was walking home. When the man said he had no cash, the boy fired several shots. The man ran to his home and called police. Three people were seen running north on Wisteria Drive.

BAYLEAF WAY, 18500 block, 11:34 p.m. Nov. 30. A residence was entered by breaking a window. Nothing was reported stolen.

GOLDENROD LANE, 20300 block, 1 p.m. Nov. 30. A bank was entered by prying a front door frame. Nothing was reported stolen.

GRENEL RD., 9700 block, 2:45 to 3:20 p.m. Nov. 30. A shed at a residence was entered. Nothing was reported stolen.

SHADYSIDE WAY, 20500 block, 6:50 p.m. Nov. 30. A side door at a residence was pulled open. Nothing was reported stolen.

WILLARD RD. W., 16600 block, 12:30 a.m. to noon Dec. 3. An attempt was made to enter a meeting lodge by prying a door lock.

ROBBERIES

FLOWER HILL WAY, 18250 block, 7:45 p.m. Dec. 5. A man at a shopping center parking jumped into the vehicle of another man who was leaving the lot and had stopped at a stop sign. The intruder pulled out a knife and ordered the motorist to drive, then ordered him to get out of his car at Montgomery Village Avenue and Lost Knife Road. The motorist ran to a fast-food restaurant and called police. At 11:30 p.m., a Rockville city police officer saw a vehicle matching the description of the stolen one. The officer and Montgomery County police stopped the vehicle. A 44-year-old Oxon Hill man was arrested and charged with armed carjacking, theft over $500, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and auto theft.

FREDERICK AVE. S., 500 block, 10 p.m. Dec. 5. Two men accosted a 23-year-old woman waiting for a friend and ran off with her wallet.

KARDWRIGHT CT., 10400 block, 10:50 p.m. Dec. 8. One of two teenage boys demanded a purse at gunpoint from a 31-year-old woman who was parking her car. The second boy took the woman's purse which contained cash and a wallet.

COTTONWOOD CT., 1 to 100 block, 3:38 p.m. Dec. 3. Shoes were stolen from a residence entered by forcing a door.

DARLINGTON DR., 20100 block, 8:45 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dec. 4. A rear window at a residence was broken. Nothing was reported stolen.

FREDERICK AVE. S., 500 block, 7:30 a.m. to 8:45 p.m. Dec. 2. Property was stolen from a residence entered by breaking through a door.

KENSINGTON PKWY., 10240 block, 2:30 a.m. Dec. 8. A fan vent at an automotive business was pried off. Nothing was reported stolen.

RIVER RD., 9500 block, 6:35 a.m. Nov. 28 to 5:30 p.m. Dec. 1. Computer equipment was stolen from a residence entered through a window.

ROCKVILLE PIKE, 8 p.m. Dec. 4 to 6:45 a.m. Dec. 6. A digital camera was stolen from a hotel room entered through a front door.

SHADY GROVE RD., 15740 block, 2:30 p.m.; and FREDERICK RD., 21000 block, 6 p.m., Nov. 19. A man shoplifted two leaf blowers, one from each of the home improvement stores at the locations above, then entered a maroon Pontiac Grand Am with Maryland registration. A Gaithersburg man, 37, was arrested Dec. 6 at the Rockville District Courthouse, where he was appearing on unrelated charges. He was charged with two counts of theft under $500 and one count of theft by scheme over $500.

STRAW BALE LANE, 13600 block, 3 a.m. Nov. 27 to 5 p.m. Nov. 29. A computer and stereo equipment were stolen from a residence.

SILVER SPRING DISTRICT

ROBBERIES

FLOWER AVE., 8700 block, 5:55 p.m. Dec. 4. A man at a counter in a shoe store lifted his jacket to show a handgun and demanded cash. A store clerk complied.

HAMPSHIRE WEST CT., 1400 block, 11:30 p.m. Dec. 7. A male in a parking lot pointed a gun at a 30-year-old man who lived near the lot and demanded his wallet and his vehicle keys. The man complied and the robber fled in the man's green 1997 Honda Odyssey van.

LOCKWOOD DR., 11600 block, 9:42 p.m. Dec. 5. A man with a large knife robbed a 24-year-old man of cash. The man was seen entering a blue van.

MANCHESTER PLACE AND MANCHESTER ROAD, 5:55 a.m. Dec. 6. A man wearing a black mask grabbed a 27-year-old woman walking to a bus stop, punched her in the face and took her purse containing cash and a wallet. The man then entered a gray 1989 Mazda 323 sedan with Maryland plates and sped toward Piney Branch Road.

MANCHESTER RD., 9100 block, 12:24 a.m. Dec. 5. A man forced a 34-year-old woman to the ground and robbed her of her purse.

NEWELL STREET AND BLAIR ROAD, 7:35 p.m. Dec. 4. A man wearing a ski mask took a bag at gunpoint from a 27-year-old woman walking on a path.

NORTHAMPTON DR., 400 block, 6:04 p.m. Dec. 3. Two men implied they had a gun and demanded car keys from a 45-year-old man who was closing the trunk of his car. One robber tried to grab the keys but was not successful and both men fled empty-handed.

RAMSEY AVENUE AND FIDLER LANE, 7:45 p.m. Nov. 29. A male armed with a handgun and accompanied by another male demanded cash from a 21-year-old Virginia man. The man said he did not have cash, and the armed robber hit him on the head.

BLAIR RD., 7500 block, 9 a.m. to 8:15 p.m. Dec. 4. A TV was stolen from a residence entered by prying a door.

BLAIR RD., 7500 block, 1:15 to 2:15 p.m. Dec. 6. Cash and keys were stolen from a residence entered by prying a lock on a sliding glass door.

ROBBERIES

AMHERST AVE., 11400 block, 9:45 a.m. Dec. 8. A man opened the driver's door of a parked car and pulled a 51-year-old woman out of the vehicle after she had deposited mail in a mail box. The man sped off in the woman's 1994 white, two-door Honda Civic.

BLUERIDGE AVE., 2300 block, 5 p.m. Nov. 21. A man pulled a gun on a 34-year-old Silver Spring man on a residential porch and offered to sell drugs to him. The man refused and the gunman robbed him of jewelry and a cell phone.

GEORGIA AVE., 18000 block, 9:10 p.m. Dec. 8. Four males accosted a 21-year-old pizza delivery person and one of them implied having a gun and pushed the man down an embankment. Another attacker pulled out a silver handgun and demanded cash. When the victim did not respond, he was hit on the head with the gun butt. All four attackers fled on foot. Nothing was reported taken.

ASPEN HILL RD., 4900 block, 7:45 to 10:30 a.m. Dec. 3. A residence was entered by prying a sliding glass door. Nothing was reported stolen.

ASHLEY AVE., 200 block, 5:05 a.m. Dec. 3. A Rockville man, 23, was arrested and charged with second-degree assault, fourth-degree burglary, resisting arrest and destruction of property in connection with an incident at the above location.

AVERY RD., 14500 block, 12:30 to 12:59 p.m. Dec. 4. A Silver Spring boy, 15, was arrested and charged with second-degree assault in connection with an incident at the above location.

FLOWER HILL WAY, 18200 block, Dec. 5. An Oxon Hill man, 43, was arrested at 7:45 p.m. Dec. 6 in connection with an armed carjacking at the above location.

ROCKVILLE PIKE, 1800 block, 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. Dec. 4. A laptop computer, a nylon bag, a power cord and an adapter were stolen from a room being used as a classroom.

ROCKVILLE PIKE, 1800 block, noon Nov. 27 to 7:50 a.m. Dec. 2. Cash was stolen from a locked box inside a business.

SOUTHLAWN LANE, 500 block, 6:30 p.m. Dec. 1 to 5:15 a.m. Dec. 2. Two pressure washers and an electric hammer were stolen from a truck entered by breaking the rear cab window.

ROBBERIES

HOLTON LANE, 1200 block, 6:35 a.m. Dec. 10. A man greeted an adult female pedestrian, then grabbed her bag from her hand and fled in a red, two-door car, driven driven by a second man who had been waiting nearby. The woman was injured during the robbery but reportedly refused medical treatment.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

ELM AVE., 500 block, noon to 4 p.m. Dec. 9. Property was stolen from a residence entered by breaking a window.
