Was selected first-team all-Southern Maryland Athletic Conference from undermanned Chargers.

Scored 15 goals, eight of which were game-winners. Accounted for almost half of Northern's 32 goals.

M Chad Johnson, Senior, Leonardtown

Scored a team-high 18 goals and had seven assists for the Maryland 3A semifinalist. Was named SMAC Player of the Year and honorable mention All-Met.

M Danny Poe, Senior, Leonardtown

Controlled central midfield for Raiders. Scored 10 goals and had five assists.

M Phil Richter, Senior, McDonough

Scored the winning penalty kick against La Plata en route to McDonough's trip to the Maryland 3A South Region final.

M Ryan Russell, Junior, Westlake

Two-time All-Extra performer and honorable mention All-Met scored eight goals and had 11 assists in 16 games.

D Jason Jepsky, La Plata, Senior

Key cog in a defense that allowed 11 goals in 15 games.

D Danny Sydnor, Senior, Northern

Three-year starter for a defense that gave up 32 goals in the past two seasons.

G Steve Moritz, Senior, Leonardtown

Had 12 shutouts this season, including one in the Maryland 3A South Region final against McDonough. Allowed eight goals all season.

Player of the Year

D Blake Roth, Senior, Leonardtown

Roth dominated the back line for Leonardtown, which won the Southern Maryland Athletic Conference title, the Maryland 3A South Region and lost to Dulaney, 2-1, in overtime of the Maryland 3A semifinal. A first-team All-Met, he anchored a defense that held opponents scoreless for more than 860 minutes during the regular season. His thrown-ins, which often traveled more than 40 yards, resulted in two goals and nine assists.

Coach of the Year

Bruce Henderson, Leonardtown

Henderson guided a talented team farther than any team from Southern Maryland. The Raiders finished the regular season undefeated, won their second consecutive Southern Maryland Athletic Conference title and their first Maryland 3A South Region title. In the Maryland 3A semifinal at UMBC-Catonsville, Leonardtown represented its region well, but lost to Dulaney in overtime, 2-1. Henderson is 63-14-3 in his five years at Leonardtown.
