Lose yourself in surroundings familiar and unreal. The Art House features mixed media collage/paintings by Sonya Evanisko in "Fantasy and Dream Narratives" and photographs by Benita Keller in "Nudes and Landscapes." Evanisko, an associate professor of art at Shepherd College, juxtaposes styles and scraps with personal symbols to comment on creative and destructive tendencies. Keller's photographs focus on ritual, myth and folktales. She is an adjunct photography instructor at Shepherd College and photo editor of Antietam Review. 10 a.m.-4 p.m. weekdays through Jan. 31. START OFF ON THE RIGHT FOOT

Join hundreds of serious runners and families on New Year's Day for the sixth annual Rotary Resolution 10K Race and Fun Run. Choose a 10K or 4K route through Morven Park. Registration fee includes food and drink, door prizes, a magic show before the race and two DJs -- one indoors before the race and one at the start/finish line. Awards and medals for top finishers. Proceeds benefit five local charities. Start and finish at Ida Lee Park Recreation Center, 50 Ida Lee Dr., Leesburg.
