The Alexandria City Council is seeking applicants for the following vacancies on city boards, commissions and committees. The council will act on these vacancies at its Jan. 14 meeting. Applicants must complete a Personal Data Record Form and return it by 5 p.m. Friday to the Office of Citizen Assistance in City Hall. Applicants must live in Alexandria. ALEXANDRIA AFFORDABLE HOUSING ADVISORY COMMITTEE, one landlord of a residential property. Time commitment: about four hours a month.

ALEXANDRIA CAEN EXCHANGE COMMITTEE, three citizens-at-large, one representative of the private schools, one representative of the public schools, one health care professional and two representatives of the Alexandria Sister Cities Committee. Time commitment: about four hours a month.

ALEXANDRIA-GYUMRI SISTER CITY COMMITTEE, eight citizen members. Time commitment: about three hours a month.

ALEXANDRIA BEAUTIFICATION COMMISSION, two citizen members. Time commitment: about eight hours a month.

ALEXANDRIA COMMISSION ON AGING, four citizen members and one representative of a health care organization. Time commitment: about five hours a month.

ALEXANDRIA COMMISSION ON EMPLOYMENT, one citizen-at-large. Time commitment: about five hours a month.

ALEXANDRIA COMMISSION ON HIV/AIDS, one citizen-at-large, one representative of the Alexandria Youth Policy Commission, one representative of the Alexandria Commission for Women, one representative of the Alexandria Public Health Advisory Commission, one representative of Inova Alexandria Hospital, one representative of Hopkins House and one representative of Hospice of Northern Virginia. Time commitment: about three hours a month.

ALEXANDRIA COMMISSION ON INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY, one representative of higher education and one representative of a local telephone service provider. Time commitment: about two hours every other month.

ALEXANDRIA COMMISSION ON PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES, one citizen member, one representative from the business community and one representative from the Alexandria Commission on Aging. Time commitment: about eight hours a month.

ALEXANDRIA COMMUNITY SERVICES BOARD, one licensed physician. Time commitment: about eight hours a month.

ALEXANDRIA CONSUMER AFFAIRS COMMISSION, one member of a local consumer action organization. Time commitment: about two hours a month.

ALEXANDRIA CONVENTION AND VISITORS ASSOCIATION BOARD OF GOVERNORS, one member-at-large and one hotel owner or manager. Time commitment: about three hours a month.

ALEXANDRIA EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES COUNCIL, one citizen member, one emergency room physician from Inova Alexandria Hospital, one representative of the Inova Alexandria Hospital administration, one representative of a nursing home, one representative of a private ambulance service and one representative of the Alexandria Red Cross. Time commitment: meets four times a year at the call of the chairman.

ALEXANDRIA ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY COMMISSION, one high school student, one member from the field of urban planning, one member from the field of intergovernmental relations, one member designated by the Alexandria Chamber of Commerce and one member from the field of sanitary-environmental engineering. Time commitment: about 10 hours a month.

HISTORIC ALEXANDRIA RESOURCES COMMISSION, one member from Planning District II, two members from Planning District III, one representative of the Northern Virginia Fine Arts Association, one representative from the Lee-Fendall House, one representative from Christ Church and one representative from the George Washington Masonic Memorial. Time commitment: about two hours a month.

ALEXANDRIA LANDLORD-TENANT RELATIONS BOARD, one tenant member. Time commitment: about five hours a month.

ALEXANDRIA PUBLIC HEALTH ADVISORY COMMISSION, one non-health professional, one representative of the Alexandria Dental Society and one representative of the Alexandria Emergency Medical Services Council. Time commitment: about four hours a month.

ALEXANDRIA SISTER CITIES COMMITTEE, three citizen members. Time commitment: about two hours a month.

ALEXANDRIA SOCIAL SERVICES ADVISORY BOARD, one parent member and two citizen members. Time commitment: about six hours a month.

ALEXANDRIA YOUTH POLICY COMMISSION, one parent from School Board District B. Time commitment: about five hours a month.
