CALIFORNIA AREA

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

FIRST COLONY WAY, 8:30 to 10 p.m. Dec. 27. License plates were stolen from a vehicle parked at a business.

CHAPTICO AREA

CHAPTICO, 5:30 to 11:45 p.m. Jan. 7. Three rifles and two shotguns were stolen from a gun cabinet at a residence.

PLEASANT VIEW DR., 7 p.m. Dec. 26 to 10:30 a.m. Dec. 27. An inflatable snowman decoration was stolen from a residence.

GREAT MILLS AREA

ASSAULTS

GREAT MILLS, 5:51 p.m. Jan. 3. A man, 38, assaulted a woman at a residence. He was charged with second-degree assault.

GREAT MILLS, 8 p.m. Jan. 2. A man, 28, assaulted a woman, 31. He was charged with second-degree assault.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

SUMMER LANE, 3 p.m. Dec. 24 to 7:45 p.m. Dec. 25. A temporary rear license plate was stolen from a vehicle parked at a residence.

HELEN AREA

DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY

HELEN, 9:30 p.m. Dec. 24. A man, 21, broke the side window on a vehicle. He was charged with malicious destruction of property.

DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY

HOLLYWOOD, 1:50 a.m. Jan. 9. A brick was thrown through the window of a vehicle parked at the Dew Drop Inn.

LEONARDTOWN AREA

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

MONTEREY PL., midnight to 10 a.m. Jan. 1. A Sony radio was stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY

GODDARD CT., 11:33 p.m. Dec. 28. A screen door at a residence was kicked in, causing damage.

LEXINGTON PARK AREA

ASSAULTS

LEXINGTON PARK, 3 a.m. Jan. 2. A man, 23, assaulted a woman, 21, at a residence and fled the scene. He later was arrested at St. Mary's Hospital, where he sought medical attention for self-inflicted wounds. He was charged with second-degree assault and property destruction.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

THREE NOTCH RD., 12:58 a.m. Dec. 22. A vehicle was rammed into the side of the Tackle Box store, destroying doors and door jambs. Nothing was reported missing.

DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY

LEXINGTON PARK, 4:39 p.m. Dec. 31. A vehicle's windows were broken with a baseball bat.

MECHANICSVILLE AREA

ASSAULTS

MECHANICSVILLE, 10:35 p.m. Jan. 8. A man, 39, threatened to shoot another man, 45, with a rifle. He was charged with first-degree assault.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

MECHANICSVILLE, 4:30 a.m. Jan. 2. A man, 42, stole license plates from a vehicle. He was charged with theft less than $500.
