LOWERY RD., Jan. 9. A "Tree Farming" sign was stolen from the front yard of a residence.

DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY

CHESLEY DR., Jan. 8. A vehicle was scratched with a sharp object that damaged the paint.

NORTH BEACH AREA

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

NORTH BEACH AND CHESAPEAKE BEACH, Nov. 20 to Jan. 13. Numerous residential and commercial burglaries are being investigated. Various methods have been used to enter buildings and the times of the burglaries have varied.

DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY

SIXTH ST., Jan. 6. A window was broken on a vehicle parked at a residence.

OWINGS AREA

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

CABIN CT., 12:15 to 1:30 p.m. Jan. 9. Sodas, beer, a Poulan chain saw, an Echo trimmer and an Echo leaf blower were stolen from a garage.

PRINCE FREDERICK AREA

DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY

PRINCE FREDERICK, Jan. 8. Someone shot a hole in a soda machine at Don's General Store.

SOLOMONS AREA

ASSAULTS

SOLOMONS, 1 p.m. Jan. 14. A man, 80, shot a woman, also 80, during an argument. He was charged with first-degree assault and reckless endangerment.

SUNDERLAND AREA

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

ROUTE 2, 3:47 to 6:43 a.m. Jan. 9. Someone forcibly entered Hardesty's Liquors and stole 32 cartons of Newport and Kool cigarettes.
