'Welcoming' Award

Harmony Methodist Church in Hamilton has been recognized for the second year as a "Welcoming Congregation." The United Methodist Church's Igniting Ministries program honored its tradition of welcoming newcomers, which includes door greeters on Sundays, phone calls, cards, visits, loaves of bread, fellowship opportunities and church-sponsored events.

Harmony is one of only two churches in the Virginia Conference that received the recognition.

Grace Bible Services

Effective Feb. 2, Grace Bible Church's services will move from Loudoun County High School to the new Harmony Intermediate School at 38174 Old Colonial Hwy. in Hamilton. Pastor Dan Towery said the new location has modern sound and light systems and a laptop projection system for displaying worship music and his sermon.

Concert Scheduled

The Salvation Army will hold a concert featuring the contemporary Christian singers GLAD on Feb. 7 at 8 p.m. at Christian Fellowship Church, 21673 Beaumeade Cir., Ashburn. Tickets are $22, $18.50 and $15 or $13.50 for a group discount.
