NASA Talk Marks Black History

The Maryland Aviation Administration's Office of Fair Practices will celebrate Black History Month with a program featuring Frederick D. Gregory, the first African American deputy administrator of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration.

His presentation will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the upper level of the Observation Gallery at Baltimore-Washington International Airport. It will focus on NASA's role in research and development for aviation and aerospace.

Troops to Get Send-Off From Singer

Sasha Lazard, a soprano who has performed opera and popular music in the United States and Europe, will be handing out USO care packages to military personnel heading overseas for Operation Enduring Freedom from 11 to 11:45 a.m. Tuesday at BWI's International Pier. She will then perform a send-off concert from noon to 1 p.m. for military personnel only in the USO Lounge, on the lower level of the International Pier.
