HOMICIDES

ANACOSTIA RD., 1500 block, 2:39 a.m. Jan. 28. Synica McAllister, 24, of the 4000 block of Payne Drive, Fort Washington, was found on a sidewalk with a gunshot wound to the head. He was taken to the D.C. Medical Examiner's Office, where he was pronounced dead.

EDGEWOOD ST., 600 block, 12:30 a.m. Jan. 25. William L. Johnson, of the unit block of Farragut Place NW, was found in an apartment with stab wounds. He was taken to Washington Hospital Center, where he was pronounced dead at 4:50 a.m.

SEXUAL ASSAULTS

MEADE ST., 4800 block, 4 p.m. Jan. 23. A male track coach allegedly molested a 13-year-old student in a school gymnasium.

MEADE ST., 4800 block, 6:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Jan. 21. A male track coach allegedly molested a 14-year-old girl while giving her a ride home.

ROBBERIES

ALLISON ST., 1900 block, 8:55 p.m. Jan. 24. A male took money at gunpoint from a male employee who was leaving a building.

BENNING RD., 1600 block, 9:40 p.m. Jan. 25. A man with a handgun and another person took a wallet, medicine and money from a pedestrian and fled.

BENNING RD., 1600 block, 4 p.m. Jan. 27. A male snatched a purse containing money from a pedestrian.

BENNING RD., 2600 block, 2:29 p.m. Jan. 25. A person pressed an unidentified object to the back of a female customer at a service station and said, "Give me your car." The person took the car and fled.

F ST., 300 block, 6:15 a.m. Jan. 28. A male teenager and a male accomplice snatched a backpack from a pedestrian. The pedestrian stuggled and was pushed down. The robbers fled.

FAIRVIEW AVE., 2000 block, 2:30 a.m. Dec. 28. A male took property from two pedestrians at gunpoint and fled.

FLORIDA AVE., 400 block, 6:15 p.m. Jan. 24. A male took a tire at knifepoint from a store employee after objecting to the price the employee quoted. He fled in a vehicle with an accomplice.

GRANT ST., 4000 block, 8:45 p.m. Jan. 29. A male demanded money from a female pedestrian, and she gave up her wallet. He then snatched a purse from her.

H ST., 800 block, 4 a.m. Jan. 29. A male with a handgun entered a vehicle and forced the driver to take him to 19th Street and Constitution Avenue, where he pulled the driver out and fled in the vehicle.

HOLBROOK ST., 1100 block, 12:05 a.m. Jan. 24. A man with a silver handgun said, "Give me everything" to a customer at a service station. He fired two shots and fled with the customer's shoes and jacket. No injuries were reported.

HUNT PL., 4300 block, 11:20 to 11:25 a.m. Jan. 30. A man snatched a set of keys from an employee in a funeral home and another set from a desk and fled in a vehicle.

MASSACHUSETTS AVE., 200 block, 8 p.m. Jan. 27. A male took money at gunpoint from a person in a restaurant and fled.

MICHIGAN AVE., 600 block, 7:50 to 7:52 p.m. Jan. 25. A male took a wallet containing IDs at gunpoint from a male pedestrian and fled.

NEW YORK AVE., 100 block, 10 p.m. Jan. 29. Two males and another person took a vehicle at gunpoint from a person at a service station. Three people were arrested later in the 1300 block of New Jersey Avenue NW.

ORLEANS PL., 600 block, 10:25 p.m. Jan. 28. Two males in ski masks forced two pedestrians to get on their knees at gunpoint and took their wallets.

SOUTH DAKOTA AVE., 4900 block, 5:05 p.m. Jan. 26. A male held an unidentified object to the back of a female in a restaurant and took her purse containing cash, a cell phone, a PalmPilot and credit cards.

SIXTH ST. AND MORTON PL., 9:40 p.m. Jan. 24. A male pointed a gun at the head of a person making a delivery, took property and fled.

12TH ST., 600 block, 9:12 p.m. Jan. 24. A male offered to help carry items into a female's home, and after entering, he took her purse and fled. The purse was recovered by a witness.

17TH AND H STREETS, 10 p.m. Jan. 25. Two male teenagers with handguns took property from a male pedestrian.

22ND AND RANDOLPH STREETS, 9 p.m. Jan. 28. Two males grabbed a male pedestrian and pushed him against a wall. One showed a gun and took property, then both assailants fled.

61ST ST., 300 block, 1:20 to 1:26 a.m. Jan. 26. A male teenager pointed a short, double-barreled shotgun at a male who was assisting a robbery victim. The teenager was accompanied by three teenage male accomplices, one of whom took a wallet from the victim's helper.

61ST ST., 400 block, 1:15 to 1:17 a.m. Jan. 26. A male teenager holding a shotgun and accompanied by three male teenagers approached a female pedestrian and said, "Take your clothes off. Get on your knee." The pedestrian screamed, and an accomplice snatched her purse before the four robbers fled.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

CONSTITUTION AVE., 500 block, 7:45 a.m. to 5:15 p.m. Jan. 24. Property was stolen from a residence entered by prying open a front door.

DIX ST., 5300 block, 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. Jan. 28. A stereo was stolen from a residence entered by climbing onto a canopy over a front door and forcing open a second-floor window.

GALES ST., 1600 block, 10:30 p.m. Jan. 27. A 19-year-old male was arrested after a female at a residence heard someone coming upstairs from the basement. She said, "Who are you, and how did you get in here?" She then put him outside and called police.

HAYES ST., 3700 block, 7:40 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. Jan. 29. A DVD player was stolen from a residence entered by prying open a front door.

I ST., 2000 block, 9:30 p.m. Jan. 20 to 9 p.m. Jan. 30. Jackets were stolen from a residence entered by forcing open a back door. The home was ransacked.

MINNESOTA AVE., 4000 block, 5:15 p.m. Jan. 26 to 12:05 a.m. Jan. 27. Three bottles of liquor were stolen from a residence entered by forcing open a bedroom window.

MORSE ST., 300 block, 8 p.m. Jan. 27. A male attempting to break into a store was scared away by a security officer.

NANNIE HELEN BURROUGHS AVE., 4600 block, 4 p.m. Jan. 11 to 9 a.m. Jan. 13. A cash register was stolen from a pharmacy entered through a front door with a key.

NANNIE HELEN BURROUGHS AVE., 5500 block, 2:40 to 2:45 a.m. Jan. 28. A male entered a residence by forcing open a bathroom window and cutting a screen. He was heard by an occupant, who turned on the light and saw him flee. Nothing was reported stolen.

NEWTON ST., 1800 block, 10:53 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Jan. 29. A male knocked on a front door of a residence and forced an occupant at gunpoint to let him inside. He took cash, coats, DVDs and video games and fled. A 33-year-old male was arrested near the scene.

QUEEN ST., 1100 block, 5:30 p.m. Jan. 22 to 1 p.m. Jan. 24. Tools were stolen from a residence entered by kicking in a front door.

RANDOLPH PL., 200 block, 6 p.m. Jan. 26. A vacuum cleaner, microwave oven and stove were stolen from a residence entered by forcing open a basement door. The home was ransacked.

RHODE ISLAND AVE., 1600 block, 10:30 p.m. Jan. 27 to 1:25 a.m. Jan. 28. A circular saw and hand drill were stolen from a residence entered by smashing a second-floor window. The home was ransacked.

FOURTH ST., 1100 block, 12:30 a.m. Jan. 6. Two males attempted to enter a residence by breaking a bedroom window with a piece of wood. They fled before entering the bedroom, which was occupied.

EIGHTH ST., 300 block, 10:40 p.m. Jan. 23. An occupant of a residence heard loud footsteps and saw someone standing on the roof of the house. As the intruder removed window bars, the occupant tried calling police, but the line was dead, and the occupant fled.

NINTH ST., 3400 block, 9:30 p.m. Jan. 23 to 9:45 a.m. Jan. 24. Two paintings by Henry Hensche and John P. Mulberry were stolen from a store entered by breaking a rear window with a brick.

10TH ST., 600 block, 4 p.m. Jan. 23 to 6:50 a.m. Jan. 24. A fax machine, a telephone, a camera and a nail gun were stolen from a construction site entered by breaking a rear window.

18TH ST., 400 block, 10:55 p.m. Jan. 26. A residence entered by forcing open a rear door was ransacked, and a television, CD player, cell phone and cologne were stolen.

19TH ST., 600 block, 5:30 p.m. Jan. 28. A male teenager and an accomplice pried open a door at an occupied residence and took two video-game consoles.

21ST ST., 800 block, 6:45 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. Jan. 23. Property was stolen from a residence entered through a front door.

43RD RD., 200 block, 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. Jan. 28. A VCR was stolen from a residence entered by prying open a rear bedroom window.

44TH ST., 100 block, 10:20 to 10:30 a.m. Jan. 25. A male kicked open the front door of a residence and damaged several items inside after arguing with an occupant. An 18-year-old male was arrested.

51ST ST., 200 block, 7 to 8 p.m. Jan. 24. A gold diamond ring was stolen from a residence entered through a second-floor bedroom window.

IOWA AVE., 4500 block, 10:15 p.m. Jan. 26. A man raped a female pedestrian.

SHERMAN AVE., 2000 to 2400 block, noon to 8 p.m. Jan. 20. A female sexually assaulted a female at a college.

U ST., 1200 to 1600 block, 3:45 to 4:30 p.m. Jan. 20. A man pulled a female acquaintance into an alley, struck her in the face, knocking her down, then raped her and robbed her of a purse.

BUTTERNUT ST., 600 block, 8:10 a.m. Jan. 30. A man robbed a 61-year-old female pedestrian of a purse and a cell phone.

COLUMBIA RD., 1600 block, 6 p.m. Jan. 20. A person snatched a purse from a female pedestrian.

COLUMBIA RD., 1700 block, 11:50 p.m. Jan. 23. A robbery involving gunshots occurred at a house. An arrest was made.

DAHLIA ST., 700 block, 2:05 p.m. Jan. 27. A man armed with a knife robbed a female in a vehicle of a purse and a cell phone. The man demanded that the female drive him to another location, and she refused. The man got into her vehicle, and when she got out, he fled from the vehicle.

EASTERN AVE., 7800 block, 12:30 to 12:40 p.m. Jan. 27. Three men beat a male pedestrian and robbed him of a wallet. An arrest was made.

GEORGIA AVE., 2700 block, 10:11 to 10:20 p.m. Jan. 28. A gunman robbed a male pedestrian of cash. The man and another man then ordered the pedestrian to withdraw money from an ATM, then robbed him of the cash.

GEORGIA AVE., 3500 block, 2:50 a.m. Jan. 28. A man armed with a knife grabbed a 23-year-old woman at an ATM and demanded cash. She said she had no money in her bank account, and he robbed her of money and jewelry.

GEORGIA AVE., 5000 block, 12:10 a.m. Jan. 25. Two men robbed a 42-year-old man at a gas station of his vehicle.

GEORGIA AVE., 6600 block, 7:30 a.m. Jan. 25. A man armed with a knife robbed a 29-year-old female pedestrian of a purse.

GEORGIA AVE., 6600 block, 12:40 a.m. Jan. 17. A man snatched a purse from a 55-year-old woman in a lobby.

GEORGIA AVE., 6900 block, 7:50 to 7:51 p.m. Jan. 27. A man armed with a knife grabbed a purse from a female pedestrian. A struggle ensued, and the man took the purse and fled.

HOLLY ST., 1400 block, 6:20 p.m. Jan. 29. Four male teenagers, one armed with a gun, demanded cash from a 34-year-old male pedestrian. The man refused, and the teenagers fled empty-handed.

IRVING ST., 1700 block, 6:40 p.m. Jan. 24. A man pushed a female pedestrian, attempted to snatch her purse and fled with another male.

K ST., 1600 block, 8:30 to 8:35 a.m. Jan. 18. A man armed with a knife demanded cash from a male cabdriver. The driver said he would go to an ATM and get money, then stopped the vehicle and got out, and the robber fled.

K ST., 1800 block, 3:20 p.m. Jan. 25. A male armed with a gun grabbed a male in a restaurant and ordered him to open a safe. The male complied, and the man forced him and two other males into a freezer. The man robbed the males of two cell phones and cash from the safe.

KENNEDY ST., 900 block, 9:15 p.m. Jan. 28. A man snatched a purse from a 47-year-old female pedestrian.

KENYON ST., 1100 block, 7 to 7:02 p.m. Jan. 26. Three males, one armed with a knife, robbed a 33-year-old male pedestrian of a wallet. One of the males struck the pedestrian in the knee with a bat.

L ST., 1800 block, 6:20 a.m. Jan. 28. A male robbed another male in a parking lot of property.

MADISON ST., 1400 block, 6:10 a.m. Jan. 17. A man snatched a purse from a 44-year-old female pedestrian.

MONROE ST., 1600 block, 10:55 p.m. Jan. 27. A man grabbed a purse from a 24-year-old female pedestrian. A struggle ensued, and the woman fell. The man dragged and kicked her. The woman released the bag, and the man fled.

N ST., 900 block, 7:54 p.m. Jan. 24. A gunman robbed a male pedestrian of a wallet. The man took property from the wallet and dropped it.

N ST., 1500 block, 10 p.m. Jan. 16. A man grabbed a female pedestrian from behind, forced her to the ground and robbed her of a purse and a cell phone.

NICHOLSON ST., 1-100 block, 9:55 p.m. Jan. 24. A gunman demanded a wallet from a 27-year-old male pedestrian. The pedestrian attempted to walk away, and the man pulled off his jacket and fled.

NORTH CAPITOL AND G STREETS, 6:30 a.m. Jan. 28. Two males in a vehicle stopped and asked a female pedestrian for directions. As she leaned into their auto, one of the males snatched her purse and drove away.

P ST., 1700 block, 7 to 8 p.m. Jan. 27. A male teenager demanded a purse from a female pedestrian. A struggle ensued, and the teenager displayed a gun and called to another male teenager for help. The teenagers robbed the pedestrian of the purse and fled.

PARK RD., 1600 block, 8:15 to 8:20 p.m. Jan. 29. Two men asked a 31-year-old female pedestrian for cash. As she was about to give them money, one of the males displayed a gun, and the second man robbed her of jewelry and cigarettes.

PEABODY ST., 1300 block, 7 p.m. Jan. 27. A man armed with a knife robbed a female pedestrian of a purse.

PINEY BRANCH RD., 6500 block, 6:15 to 6:45 p.m. Jan. 26. A man armed with a knife robbed a 37-year-old woman getting into a vehicle of a purse and jewelry.

QUINCY ST., 700 block, 10:40 p.m. Jan. 29. A male snatched a purse from a 41-year-old female pedestrian.

RHODE ISLAND AVE., 100 block, 11:15 to 11:22 p.m. Jan. 27. A man got out of a vehicle, displayed a gun and robbed a male pedestrian of a coat and a cell phone. The robber fled in the vehicle with three other males.

RHODE ISLAND AVE., 300 block, 4:15 p.m. Jan. 24. Three females, one armed with a gun, demanded a coat from a female pedestrian. The pedestrian refused and fled.

RITTENHOUSE ST., 1000 block, 3:38 a.m. Jan. 25. A man grabbed a 45-year-old female pedestrian and demanded cash. He struck her in the face, and witnesses ordered him to stop. The female said she had no money, and the man fled.

SPRING RD., 1400 block, 10:40 p.m. Jan. 27. A man grabbed a 24-year-old female pedestrian by the neck, and two other men appeared. The men robbed her of a briefcase, a computer and a wallet.

TAYLOR ST., 500 block, 6:50 p.m. Jan. 24. A man grabbed a female pedestrian from behind, forced her to the ground and robbed her of a cell phone and a purse.

U ST., 900 block, 1 a.m. Jan. 24. A person assaulted a male pedestrian and robbed him of vehicle keys. The pedestrian discovered that his vehicle was missing the next morning.

W ST., 1400 block, 10:55 to 10:59 a.m. Jan. 28. Two male teenagers, one armed with a gun, robbed a cabdriver of property. An arrest was made.

W ST., 1500 block, 10:25 p.m. Jan. 26. A man asked a male pedestrian for a cigarette. The pedestrian said he didn't have any, and the man grabbed him by his jacket. A second man armed with a gun appeared, and the two men robbed the pedestrian of a wallet and a cell phone and fled with a third man.

WISCONSIN AVE., 2600 block, 9:20 to 9:30 p.m. Jan. 28. A man in a vehicle asked a female pedestrian for directions. He then grabbed her backpack, and a struggle ensued. The female fell, and the man and the driver of the vehicle fled empty-handed.

WISCONSIN AVE., 5300 block, 1:40 p.m. Jan. 25. A man snatched a purse from a female pedestrian.

FOURTH ST., 1100 block, 10:25 to 11:02 p.m. Jan. 27. A gunman approached a stopped vehicle and forced the driver out, then drove away in the vehicle.

SIXTH ST., 1500 block, 3:10 a.m. Jan. 26. Two males, one armed with a gun, robbed three pedestrians of a wallet and credit cards.

SEVENTH AND N STREETS, 5:10 p.m. Jan. 28. A gunman demanded a wallet from a male pedestrian. The pedestrian complied, and the man threw the wallet back at the pedestrian and fled empty-handed.

SEVENTH ST., 1500 block, 10:35 p.m. Jan. 21. Four male teenagers, one armed with a gun, robbed a pizza delivery person of property.

NINTH ST., 4200 block, 8 p.m. Jan. 24. Two males, one armed with a gun, robbed a female pedestrian of money and keys.

12TH AND M STREETS, 8:30 p.m. Jan. 20. Two males, one armed with a knife, pushed a female pedestrian down and robbed her of a purse.

16TH ST., 3500 block, 12:10 to 12:15 a.m. Jan. 29. Two men, one armed with a gun, got out of a vehicle and robbed a 20-year-old male pedestrian and a 30-year-old male pedestrian of a backpack, a wallet and other property.

16TH ST., 5900 block, 7 a.m. Jan. 15. A gunman robbed a 59-year-old male outside a house of cash.

17TH ST., 2400 block, 10:12 to 10:25 p.m. Jan. 27. A male teenager and two other males assaulted a male pedestrian and robbed him of a wallet and a cell phone.

18TH ST., 1100 block, 8:40 p.m. Jan. 30. A man snatched a briefcase and a wallet from a female pedestrian.

18TH ST., 2400 block, 11:45 p.m. Jan. 20. A male and another person snatched a backpack, CDs, games and a camera from a female pedestrian.

19TH ST., 2000 block, 10 p.m. Jan. 26. Three men, one armed with a gun, robbed a male pedestrian of a cell phone and credit cards.

19TH ST., 3200 block, 12:34 to 12:35 a.m. Jan. 28. Three men got out of a vehicle and robbed a 34-year-old male pedestrian of a cell phone. The three men fled in the vehicle with a fourth person.

31ST ST., 1100 block, 5:55 to 6 a.m. Jan. 26. A male cabdriver asked a male passenger to pay his fare after reaching his destination, and two other people, one armed with a gun, appeared. The three demanded cash, and the driver drove away.

C ST., 5000 block, 12:29 a.m. Jan. 12. Darnice Brown-Spencer, 28, of the 4900 block of 56th Place, Bladensburg, was found in a residence with a gunshot wound to the head. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

LANGSTON PL., 2800 block, 2:59 a.m. Jan. 29. An unidentified male was found on a street with a gunshot wound to the head. He was taken to the D.C.Medical Examiner's Office, where he was pronounced dead.

WHEELER RD., 3500 block, 8:24 p.m. Jan. 28. Maurice Brown Jr., 24, of the 700 bock of Mississippi Avenue SE, was found on a street with a gunshot wound to the head. He was taken to the D.C. Medical Examiner's Office, where he was pronounced dead.

POTOMAC AVE., noon Jan. 3 to noon Jan. 5. A 10-year-old male sexually assaulted a female juvenile relative.

SAVANNAH PL., 12:01 a.m. Sept. 30 to 10 p.m. Jan. 30. A male juvenile sexually assaulted an 8-year-old female relative.

BENNING RD., 4500 block, 11 to 11:25 p.m. Jan. 27. Three men, two with handguns, approached a male at a bus stop and forced him to go to another location, told him to undress and robbed him of a watch and a gold bracelet. He was hit on the head with an unidentified object.

BOWEN RD. AND SAYLES PL., 2:45 p.m. Jan. 13. Two men and a male juvenile demanded property from a 52-year-old male pedestrian. The victim ran and fell, and the three held him down and removed property from him, then fled.

C ST., 4300 block, 11 p.m. Jan. 17. A male juvenile with a shotgun robbed a female pedestrian of a jacket, a wallet and papers.

CHESAPEAKE ST., 600 block, 6:15 p.m. Jan. 28. A gunman robbed a 43-year-old man of property.

CONGRESS ST., 1300 block, 3:45 a.m. Jan. 16. A man knocked a 34-year-old male acquaintance down, kicked him and robbed him of a pager and a coat.

K ST., 1100 block, 3:50 to 3:55 a.m. Jan. 24. A man demanded cash from a male in a parking lot. When he said he had none, the man shot him several times. The victim was transported to a medical facility.

MASSACHUSETTS AVE., 4000 block, 2:45 to 2:50 p.m. Jan. 24. Three men in a vehicle robbed a male pedestrian of his coat and IDs.

PENNSYLVANIA AVE., 600 block, 5 p.m. Jan. 30. A man robbed a specialty store of cash.

Q ST., 2800 block, 5:45 to 5:46 a.m. Jan. 25. A man asked a female pedestrian for a cigarette light, and when she pulled out a lighter and a $10-dollar bill, he threatened her and snatched the cash.

RALEIGH ST., 300 block, 6:50 p.m. Jan. 25. A male juvenile on a bicycle with a handgun demanded cash from a 53-year-old male pedestrian. The boy fled when the man told him he had no money.

RALEIGH PL., 600 block, 10:35 p.m. Jan. 30. A man with a handgun robbed a 21-year-old male of cash and his vehicle. The vehicle was recovered with fire damage.

SOUTHERN AVE., 1300 block, 11:05 a.m. Jan. 28. A man struck a 26-year-old male pedestrian in the face and took his keys while two other people attempted to take his wallet. A man was arrested.

SUITLAND TER., 2100 block, 9:50 to 10 p.m. Jan. 28. Three males with handguns demanded cash from a male in his car, then forced him out of his car and fled in it. The vehicle was recovered.

YUMA ST., 800 block, 8 p.m. Jan. 25. A male with a handgun robbed a 36-year-old male pedestrian of property.

14TH ST., 500 block, 11:12 p.m. Jan. 26. Three males struck a male pedestrian on the back of the head and took his wallet, then struck him several times in the face and fled.

18TH ST., 3500 block, 11 p.m. Jan. 24. Six people, one with a handgun, robbed a 34-year-old male of property and fled in his vehicle.

25TH ST., 2500 block, 9:09 p.m. Jan. 26. A man robbed a 23-year-old female pedestrian of property at gunpoint.

53RD ST., 300 block, 2:20 to 2:25 p.m. Jan. 24. A man snatched cash from a male acquaintance during an argument about money. He then displayed a handgun and demanded more money. The acquaintance ran, and the man fired three shots, then fled in a vehicle. No injuries were reported.

ALABAMA AVE., 4900 block, 3 p.m. Jan. 25 to 9 a.m. Jan. 26. A TV was stolen from an apartment entered by forcing a front door.

B ST., 4400 block, 10:45 to 10:50 a.m. Jan. 26. A man kicked the front door of a female acquaintance's apartment, displayed a handgun, took her car keys and fled in her car. He returned and threatened her, then fled when police arrived, leaving the car and keys.

BAY ST., 1700 block, 8:45 to 11:30 a.m. Jan. 30. A residence was entered by kicking the front door and ransacked. Nothing was reported missing.

CENTRAL AVE., 5400 block, 11 to 11:25 p.m. Jan. 26. A man pushed his way into a residence, then pushed a female acquaintance to the floor and choked and threatened her.

CENTRAL AVE., 5500 block, 11:59 p.m. Jan. 23 to 11 a.m. Jan. 24. Cash and cigarettes were stolen from a restaurant entered by making a hole in the roof.
