ROBBERIES

ST. ASAPH ST. N., 100 block, 10:50 p.m. Feb. 8. A man robbed a woman, 26, of her purse as she was leaving a restaurant, and two bystanders chased and caught him. A 37-year-old Fairfax County man was arrested and charged with robbery.

WASHINGTON ST. N., 600 block, 10:50 p.m. Feb. 8. Two men wearing ski masks robbed a man, 31, and a woman, 35, of cash and a purse at gunpoint.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

BRAGG ST. S., 100 block, 1:15 to 5:31 a.m. Feb. 3. Cash was stolen from a hotel room.

BRUCE ST., 3900 block, 6:30 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. Feb. 10. Jewelry was stolen from a residence.

KING ST., 600 block, 11:37 p.m. Feb. 6 to 11:58 a.m. Feb. 7. A business was ransacked. Nothing was reported missing.

JEFFERSON DAVIS HWY., 3500 block, 2:59 to 3:15 a.m. Feb. 11. Police responded to an alarm at a restaurant and found a window broken, a door open and two men hiding inside. Two men, ages 45 and 21, were arrested and charged with statutory burglary and possession of burglary tools.

REYNOLDS ST. S., 300 block, 8:30 p.m. Feb. 3 to noon Feb. 4. Clothes and household items were stolen from a residence entered with a key.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS

GIBBON ST., 700 block, 11:30 p.m. Feb. 7 to 1:30 p.m. Feb. 8. A white 2002 Ford Econoline van was stolen.

IMBODEN ST. N., 500 block, 7 a.m. Feb. 8 to 11:45 p.m. Feb. 9. A black 1995 Honda Civic was stolen.

UNION ST. S., 100 block, 5:10 to 11 p.m. Feb. 10. A blue 2001 Lincoln Continental was stolen.

WYNDHAM PARK CIR., 3000 block, 7 p.m. Feb. 5 to 8:20 p.m. Feb. 10. A white and blue 1996 Honda motorcycle was stolen.

ASSAULTS

THOMAS ST. N., 300 block, 9:49 p.m. Feb. 9. A man stabbed two men, ages 23 and 17, with a knife after they left their apartment to help friends being threatened by the assailant and another man. The victims were transported to a hospital.

ROBBERIES

FILLMORE ST. N., 200 block, 5:04 p.m. Feb. 9. A man asked a female, 78, for directions as she was walking to her residence, then snatched a hip pack from her and fled in a white Honda.

JEFFERSON DAVIS HWY., 2300 block, 11 p.m. Feb. 6. A man entered a store and demanded money. When a female clerk, 27, told him there was none, he fled empty-handed.

11TH ST. N., 4400 block, 7:12 p.m. Feb. 10. Two male teenagers attempted to grab a purse from a female pedestrian, 60, who resisted and shouted for help. Two bystanders stopped, and the robbers fled empty-handed.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

HAYES ST. S., 3100 block, 8:45 a.m. to 7 p.m. Feb. 11. An unsuccessful attempt was made to enter a residence by breaking a rear-door window.

JUNE ST. S., 2300 block, 8:45 to 10:20 p.m. Feb. 9. A laptop computer was stolen from a residence.

MONROE ST. S., 900 block, 9:30 p.m. Feb. 9 to 9:30 a.m. Feb. 10. A computer, a video camera, 17-inch chrome rims and electronic equipment were stolen from a store entered by forcing a window.

THOMAS ST. N., 200 block, 11:29 p.m. Feb. 7. A man attempted to enter an apartment through an open window, then fled empty-handed when a resident shouted, saying she was calling police.

WASHINGTON BLVD. N., 4700 block, 10:45 p.m. Feb. 6 to 6:15 a.m. Feb. 7. An unsuccessful attempt was made to enter a garage by breaking a window.

WILSON BLVD. N., 5900 block, 4:50 p.m. Jan. 29 to 3 p.m. Jan. 30. Cash and costume jewelry were stolen from an apartment.

COURTHOUSE RD. S., 900 block. A gray 1990 Toyota Camry was stolen.

EADS ST. S., 1900 block. A green 1996 Dodge Stratus was stolen.

FILLMORE ST. S., 1700 block. A blue 2001 Mazda Tribute was stolen.

FORT MEYER DR., 1900 block. A green 1997 Honda Accord was stolen.

FOUR MILE RUN DR. S., 4600 block. A burgundy 1997 Honda Accord was stolen.

KENSINGTON ST. N., 1200 block. A black 1996 Honda Accord was stolen.

WASHINGTON BLVD. S., 1800 block. A white 1995 Oldsmobile Cutlass was stolen.
